Halloween 2024 Countdown!

DAYS TO JOL DAY: 29
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON: 15
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 30
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 60
WE'RE HOME! HAPPY NEW BERS.
We've lost another main countdown. We are now counting UP over in The Bers thread..
The "Final 30" to October begins today, and Halloween is in exactly 60 days.
It will be thrilling to put out my Halloween lights tonight. My house will now have lights outside of some kind, for the next 4 1/2 months!
The "official start" to Hallowen Season is just 15 days away. I have debated at times about keeping that count. So many of us like myself, start "Fall Pre-Season" in August, and thus by proxy their own Halloween Season begins with the arrival of September. So, I'm open to suggestions on keeping it or not for "Next Year", but also see the significance of keeping the "official" markers. Not something to worry about today, though!

Happy September 1st! I love being able to say that Halloween is next month, even though it is 60 days away!
Another vote here for keeping the count. I think most people are in “back to school” mode during the beginning of September, so Halloween doesn’t start to creep in until mid-month once everyone’s settled.

Still staying super busy right now, but I have a three day weekend. Well, most of it is kinda free. LOL
Just got home from the normal Sunday routine. About to work on football game planning.
We are putting up our inside Halloween decorations tomorrow!! I am excited about it too!
As for keeping the Season count, I vote to keep it. I like seeing the various milestones and just like with Christmas, I think it is nice to see when the rest of society starts thinking about the season.

Sometimes Halloween movies scare me, especially the ones about the occult or evil.
My brother loved them all and October was his favorite movie month, by far.
I'm sticking to classic movies, for the most part. Some of the Stephen King movies based off his books are good.
I'll start off with It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and go from there.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Memorial Day. Hot weather has retreated again, and this entire week we have low 70's for the daytime high.
It's now just TWO WEEKS until the official beginning of Halloween Season!
Folks - this place is decorated for Halloween / Fall inside and out. Not sure what else to do now except for just sit back and enjoy the fruit of our labor. We're in the "Sweet Spot" now for sure.
And it kind of feels odd to think of "next month" being October! If October is that close, then Christmas is just right around the corner now. Have a great day!

Seeing that Freeform schedule makes me wish we still had cable. We “cut the cord” years ago and went exclusively to streaming, but now that streaming services are jacking up their prices and providing less value, it almost makes going back to cable seem like a viable option.

Had football practice this morning and I already have my lesson planning done for the week. Not much else on my agenda except hopefully putting up inside Halloween decorations today! Maybe a trip to Menards to see what Halloween stuff they have out.
