Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Evening Halloween Fans! Another beautiful day here. I tell you September and October sometimes is the nicest weather here. I hope it continues for as long as possible. What do you think of the new Halloween TV series coming this October? Is it definitely happening? Happy Halloween!
I remember when ours ticked over 250 I knew it was time to let it go. We had the dish in the yard for a few more years in case we decided to go back but better options keep coming.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Mini Friday! Gorgeous autumn weather continues here, it is only 49 degrees outside. That's not a typo - that's how cool it is outside. I think either Sunday or Monday night gets to only 45! Morbid curiosity makes me wonder if I will see a night dip into the 30's in September. I don't think so, It's never happened before, but this year has been wild for weather.
It's so nice to drive home of an evening now and see the Halloween lights on our house. Especially with this cool weather.
We are about to embark into a single digit count to Halloween Season, and our single digits begin on Saturday! It's starting to dawn on me that within three weeks, we are going to be down two main counts, that we won't see again until the 2025 Halloween countdown thread is launched!
Enjoy your Thursday friends! These beautiful cool days make a perfect evening for Halloween "grazing". If nobody remembers what I am referring to when I mention "Halloween Grazing", It is me laying on the couch and flipping through the channels looking for a good Halloween movie! Have a great day!

No Halloween weather here yet either, but all of the rain is making way for a "mini cool front" that will get here on Saturday and extend into Sunday. Unfortunately, it's not going to be as cool as the forecast said earlier this week. Now it's 2-3 degrees higher.

It's finally drizzling today. Not what I'd call rain but it predicts rain off and on for the next week. People were still swimming in the pool but I passed and decided to play cards with friends. Tonight two WNBA games. I have nowhere to be tomorrow so I'll stay up for both of them.

TGIF Halloween Friends and Bers Bros! Another beautiful Fall day is here. 51 degrees outside and only getting to 80 today. I echo Edge's statements about the weather. Cool nights and warm, not HOT, days are about as good as it gets weather wise.
Folks, we are about to enter single digits on our way to the official start of Halloween season, and our "Days to Halloween" count now is double nickels at 55 days. Amazingly enough, September seems to be going by at a fair pace and not flying by.
Next week this time will be FRIDAY THE 13th. It is typically one of my favorite days of the year due to the association with supernatural/superstition, etc., and normally serves as an "extra" JOL Day or Halloween cheat day. I do feel that they are sort of "wasted" once we are in Fall. We will also have one again on December 13th, which I have not committed to one way or the other about celebrating / observing. It might be strange to have a Halloween-esque day the week before Christmas. I will revisit it as we get closer.
And it sure seems like SyFy has already started Halloween Season. I'm trying to get a complete schedule and lineup, but every night has had a Halloween movie on! Fear Fest on AMC has already put their schedule out:
Unless I missed it, it doesn't appear that AMC has a single "Halloween Dud" in their lineup! Fear Fest weekend kicks off the last weekend of September! I'll be ready!

I completely forgot that we had a Friday the 13th this month. Man, if there were ever a time to put up Halloween decorations, that would be it. I think I know what I'm doing next Friday...
That's a good use of Friday the 13th. I do feel that a special "extra" spooky day is sort of wasted when we are already the week before the beginning of Autumn. Looking forward a little bit, next year will have only ONE Friday the 13th, which will be in June. I think that might be an almost perfect spot to insert an extra Spooky day, with most of us missing Spooky Spring by that point, and also just about two weeks out from JOL Day # 5!
Pizza is a great addition to Fridays, weekends, holidays... to everything!
