Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Hello Halloween Fans!

The weather was totally Fall like yesterday. Nice and cool all day long and my son had a night Cross Country meet that was actually chilly. It was wonderful! He also had a great and for the second meet in a row beat his best times.

Unfortunately, the temperature is going to go back up all this week and be close to 90 again on Thursday. I just keep trying to remind myself that true Fall temps are close.

My pumpkins are doing surprisingly well considering the complete lack of rain. We have several good size pumpkins and a handful of pie pumpkins.
 
Because I am most likely a spoiled brat, my sister surprised me with some solar light up bats that flap their wings. She gave them to me last Monday and so far I have stayed strong and haven't put them out yet, but my willpower is lagging by the minute.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We're in the jaws of another Monday now. Will it go by fast or slow? I think even in THE BERS, we want Mondays to go by fast, it just feels like the rest of the week moves easily then.

You can see from the counts above that we are just 21 days, THREE WEEKS, from our very final JOL Day of the 2024 Halloween countdown season. And the "official" beginning of Halloween Season is in exactly one week. Friday the 13th also arrives on Friday - how very cool.

On Wednesday, we will celebrate our final milestone day in this thread, that being 50 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. I don't even want that one to come, honestly. Wouldn't it be nice if somehow we could stay in the Sweet Spot of September forever?

I want to extend the sweet spot of September for as long as possible, but I don't think I'd want to stay here forever. I eventually want Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas to come; otherwise I'd never get to celebrate each of those awesome holidays. But I totally know what you mean. They can all take their time getting here.

It would be nice to have:
6 months of September
2 months of October
2 months of November
2 months of December

Then the new year would begin September 1st.

Time just needs to slow down during the Bers
 
I finally am getting back to watching Halloween/horror movies again starting today. All part of my Pre-Season Halloween fun which technically started September 1st and ends in a week for the real Spooky Season. It really is hard to believe that Spooky Season is one week away.

I think it may be wise to test them out in warm weather! I say put them up soon!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Monday is in the rear view mirror now and we move on with the rest of our week. You can see from our counts above, that we are now just three weeks from the beginning of October, and now under three weeks to go until the official beginning of Halloween season! But the big number to keep your eye on is "Days to Halloween" - TOMORROW will be our very final milestone day in this countdown thread, when we reach 50 days to Halloween. These counts are going to get pretty skinny over the next couple of weeks, as we will be losing two main counts, and just left with our October and Halloween count.

It's 50 degrees outside and we are headed to 80 degrees today. The long range forecast shows the next 10 days hovering between 77 and 80. The farther we get into September, the more confident I feel that we don't have a "second summer". Again, the experts said that our area was going to have well above normal temperatures for the beginning of Fall, and just on Sunday night we were issued a freeze warning!

Yup they said be would be above average too .. so far we have been below average.

Good Morning Halloween Friends!! Welcome to the very FINAL milestone day that we will celebrate together in this 2024 Halloween Countdown thread! It's exactly 50 days until Halloween!

Halloween season officially begins in just five days! I haven't had to look very hard the past couple of nights to find Halloween movies on TV, it's almost like the networks have went ahead and switched over to spooky season!

And to cap off this week, we are treated to Friday the 13th on Friday! There's no other scary movie that I watch that day other than a Jason movie!

I hope you all enjoy a great Wednesday, and pretty soon, we'll be able to start thinking about the weekend again! Another great Bers weekend! Have a great day!
