The last JOL Day of 2024...wow. It's sad in a way, but at least we are in full-blown Spooky Season.

I know exactly how you feel. I feel that way when we reach the end of all of the counts here at MMC. Even though we are so happy to arrive at each Holiday.

Sometimes I feel like counting down to the holidays and milestone days are just as special as the actual Holidays themself. Every January is sort of "special" in the regard that we have started over on everything. We have Tom Turkey Day, Rudolph Day, and JOL Day #1 ahead of us, and the hardcore counting down begins.

This is the whole "vicious cycle", and doing a 24/7 Christmas "lifestyle", I wouldn't change any of it!

Evening Halloween Fans! What a week. That's all I'm going to say. I'm not saying anything else lol. But I'm home now having dinner. And relaxing and this will be as laid back a weekend as I've had in a while. But we do have our Halloween Lights Show Sunday. So excited. Happy Halloween!

Evening Halloween Fans! It's been a quiet day mostly around home base which is nice because this week was really extra crazy at work. I was exhausted Friday night. Luckily I had a calm Saturday mostly washing my long sleeve shirts/autumn clothes. Shorts time to put away just about. Happy Halloween!

Happy Sunday, Halloween friends! We've broken into single digits to October, and now have entered a count in the 30's on our way to Halloween! Tomorrow will mark only ONE WEEK until the very FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2024.

Our couple of 80 degree days have ended now, and we are back down in the 70's again where we will hopefully stay for the "rest" of the way as we slowly get cooler. Still looks like forecast wise we will see our first night that has a frost in mid October. How amazing that will be!

It's bittersweet. It really is. I was on a run this morning, and all of a sudden randomly in my brain I started thinking about the different special times of the year and when we have turned a corner on milestones. I thought of that 1st batch of special days in January, thought of Spooky Spring, and was thinking back to Christmas in July. Crazy!!

Evening Halloween Fans! I am going to my 5th annual Halloween Lights show tonight. What's funny is we first went during covid in 2020 because nothing else was open. We drove home saying it was good but once everything opens up we probably won't come back here. We were wrong. Happy Halloween!

Hello Halloween Fans!
Sorry I have been missing recently. Just super busy.

We are finally about to have the temperatures drop to a reasonable level and we actually had rain today! It was the first measurable rain we have had in a LONG time! More rain is on the way this week as well.

Now back to Halloween stuff.
Went to Lowe's yesterday and I was really impressed with all of the Halloween stuff they have. Some really cool animatronics and other items. We did not buy anything, but we are considering buying one or two the "Reapers" band members. They are skeletons playing instruments and they have Bluetooth speakers so you can play music through them making it look as though they are playing the music. Really cool, especially for our Halloween Party.

We watched Terrifier last night. First time I had seen it. I enjoyed it. Very good classic slasher type of movie.

Happy 1st Monday of Autumn, MMC! Today we are exactly ONE WEEK away from the FINAL JOL Day of our 2024 Halloween Season. And that means losing another main countdown. Tomorrow, October will be only one week away. Our journey back to October and Halloween is nearly complete.

Yesterday evening I had some free time while I was waiting to pick up my daughter from choir practice, so I drove down the streets of a few neighborhoods here in town just to see how many people had Halloween decorations up already. Surprisingly, there were a lot! The sun was still up, so not everyone had their lights on, inflatables blown up, etc., but it was exciting to think about going back out next month after dark to get a better look at everything decked out in full Halloween splendor!

Evening Halloween Fans! It felt like October today. But we're still in September. Temps struggled to get out of the low to mid 60s. Clouds. A little damp out. Too chilly for shorts I'd say. I put mine away this weekend. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Monday is over and it is finally Tuesday and we're crawling through the rest of the week and the finale of September. You can see we are under a week to go now on our very final JOL Day of 2024. The great October is just one week away!

I am trying to savor this last week of September because all of us in here know how fast October and the rest of the year will roar by.

Happy Wednesday, Halloween Friends! And Happy Rudolph Day to all! You can see today that we have some super skinny counts. We are going to lose the JOL Day count and the October count here within a week. Really just a matter of days until we are all finished JOL Days until next January. I don't even enjoy writing that. But on the positive flip side, I always love that late January "energy" that seems to, for lack of a better word, conjure up when we get to that first batch of MMC Special Days, and it feels like our appetite for the counts have returned.

And look at that, the "October" weeks count is gone. It's less than a week away.

So I hope everyone has a great Rudolph Day - Christmas, the Grandaddy of them all, is here in 3 months from today. Hold onto your pumpkins!

There is a tiny bit of sadness comingled with excitement any time a countdown comes to an end. I am not thrilled about seeing the end of our JOL Days, but that excitement will come back again at the end of the Bers, especially during the Offseason Planning Session.
