Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend now. You can see from our counts above, that TOMORROW we will celebrate the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone. That is the last time we will see 300's in this thread. No more 300's until we make the 2025 Halloween countdown thread.

Our first full week of January is almost in the books now, I think that's an accomplishment.

Today is our first weekly Halloween roundtable / discussion / topic. I plan on doing this at least once a week, although I can't stress enough that discussion topics can happen at ANY TIME that any one wants, I just feel like a weekly thought / discussion is a fun way to lead us back into the season.

How was your overall October / Halloween 2023 experience, and what are you looking forward to the most THIS Halloween?

I loved October like I always do, I took in more activities and had more fun this year, and honestly the thing I am looking forward to the most when October comes around again is the 24/7 scary movies on TV. I just love how pretty much any channel plays their own version of scary / Halloween movies. Always easy to find something great to watch.

My October/Halloween season was great. I actually purchased shudder for the Halloween season this year. I really enjoyed it and it added to the experience. I just got it for September and October and plan to do the same next year.

My Halloween season was fantastic in 2023. A large part of it was our family trip to my alma mater for Homecoming. We went to a Fall Festival while we were there and had a blast. In fact, that was more fun than actual Halloween night since my youngest daughter was sick and couldn’t go trick or treating. We will probably do a repeat trip this year and go to the Fall Festival again, and maybe this time we’ll extend our stay and look for more fun Fall/Halloween activities to do while we’re there.

My October/Halloween was fantastic. This was the first year that we had a Halloween Tree. It added something extra special to the house decorations. I'm looking forward to putting it up again on October 1st.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF! At long last we have reached the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone. Take a good look and enjoy the view because after today there won't be any more 300's counts in this thread until we make the 2025 Halloween Thread.

We went out and got groceries last night to avoid all the maniacs in the store on Saturday, and all of the panic buying that always happens. I like doing groceries early sometimes, it gives me more free time on the weekends, I don't have to do anything now except just get up and haul trash away on Saturday morning before it starts snowing.

I was thinking about JOL Day a lot yesterday, It's funny how you have those random thoughts, it made me smile and I realized that even in the dark, long January, we still have a lot to look forward to. Have a great day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Say goodbye to the 300's! We won't see them again until the 2025 Halloween thread goes up. We see it every year, but it always seems crazy to me being here in early January and our counts already have no more 300's.

My "plan" on dealing with January is just dealing with little bits of time instead of thinking of one giant slog. We have milestones this month once a week, and with the first JOL Day of 2024 coming in 3 1/2 weeks, my "long term goal" will then be staying focused on the Spooky Spring count. It's going to look different even when we get to the end of this month.

Folks, we're waiting for the winter storm to arrive. I need to go down this morning and get gas for the snowblower, but then we are all ready. We got groceries ahead of time (as to not deal with all the crazy people), so we can just relax and have a nice relaxing weekend. Next week I have a three day weekend, so that's in the back of my mind as well.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Our winter storm is over here. We finished with around three inches of snow and maybe a 10th of an inch of ice. We were all hoping for more, but maybe if we get another snow storm this winter, we can have more then.

Our next milestone day is in just three days, when it will be 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Next Sunday at this time? We will reach 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON. Wow. Just to think that in January, of all months, we see the count to Fall Pre-Season in the 100's. It almost doesn't seem possible.

Today our big Christmas tree comes down. I normally leave it up until the 25th, but we never want Christmas time here to feel "forced". Holly and I both felt like it was a good time, after the snow storm. With the Christmas decorations in here now slowly coming down, it means that soon I will be able to give 100% attention to our first upcoming JACK O LANTERN DAY. Have a great day, friends!

It does sound like a good day to take down the tree, I don't want to use the word enjoy, but a cozy Sunday with some snow on the ground is a day you can take your time and reminisce the season.

Evening Halloween Fans! We had several inches of snow last night and this morning. Not terrible though. It's a very wet snow here. Enough to shovel and clean off the cars though. I mixed my Halloween candy bowl up today and checked what's in there. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to Monday again! I think a lot of us have a three day weekend coming up. I'm going to keep that happy thought in the back of my mind and hopefully not make the work days go too slow looking forward to the weekend.

This week will see us reach the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone. I think that's just incredible. I think back sometimes and remember that when we started this new thread, we had three countdowns that all were +300 days. Now there are none.

Time marches on and we are having fun in January just taking it nice and easy, no pressure on anything at all or any stress over the counts. The big event coming up is obviously Spooky Spring, which is less than 3 months away, but can we even call that "pressure"? I think it's just a month of Halloween feels in April. And Halloween is fun, no pressure.
