Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Wednesday! You guys know how much I love Wednesdays. Today we keep moving right through the last part of January. We are exactly ONE WEEK away from the first JOL Day of 2024! Tomorrow we will reach the 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone, which is also sharing time with both Tom Turkey Day AND Rudolph Day. It will be very special for sure.

The warm weather is going to have me thinking about The Bers alot. We have the next 10 days where we stay between 40's and 50's every day. It's almost cheating through the end of January, and if the warm-up lasts long enough, it might even put us at a point in February where we really don't have to worry a whole lot about horrible bad winter weather coming back. We can hope.

Have a great Wednesday, friends!

I started reading Dracula this week. It's very good so far -- started off kind of slow but really picked up and has been enjoyable. The name Van Helsing was just mentioned for the first time, so I can see where this is going. I'm hoping to finish up on JOL Day.

I also ordered the complete Harry Potter 8-movie set on Blu-ray, and it should be here in time for the first Dark Arts Sunday. I was going to wait for a 4K release, but Amazon had a good deal for the Blu-ray bundle, and my eyes can barely tell the difference between Blu-ray and 4K anyway.

Evening Halloween Fans! Well the middle of the week went ok here. We have some rain tonight. But it beats snow. At least it's not freezing cold out. But it's not too warm yet either. Halloween type weather would be nice. Happy Halloween!

One.
More.
Week.

CANDY!!!

*MILESTONE DAY*

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Once again it's milestone day here in our Halloween countdown thread.

250 Days to October! How amazing! And today is an extra special day because not only is it a milestone day in here, it's Rudolph Day, AND, it's also Tom Turkey Day! For sure Big 3 holiday vibes today! We're under a week now until the first JOL Day of 2024, that is very exciting!

My Thursday Halloween thought today is how I believe Halloween is part of the Christmas Season. We count down to the Holidays all year long, and other than reaching The Bers, Halloween is our first "major" Holiday out of the big 3. So in my mind, Halloween starts the Christmas Season. What do you think? Is Halloween part of Christmas season? Let us know today!

I am so looking forward to the Bers and Halloween this year. I will be able to actually enjoy the whole season. No more long weekends of Marching band.

DH and I are already talking about getting more fall and halloween decorations this year.

Evening Halloween Fans! It's another Thursday here. Busy at work. My eyes are tired. I was looking at so many numbers today. Now let me go rest and read my book. And relax. Ahh and think about Halloween. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF! Today we are warming up big time and on the way to 67 degrees. It will feel like a late fall day, or maybe a Spring Day. We have 40's and 50's now in the forecast until next Sunday. I am starting to get excited and honestly wonder if perhaps we can ride these temps all the way to the "Month of Hope", or at least get close. Nobody is complaining about almost 70 degrees in late January.

Jack O Lantern Day #1 is in five days, but our next milestone won't be for a while now, it will be the 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING milestone, coming our way on Sunday the 11th which also happens to be Superbowl Sunday.

We're almost standing on the doorstep to February now, and we will talk about February here in a few days when we do the February preview here.

Have a great Friday!

Evening Halloween Fans! What a week. Boy and this was my slowest week of January yet it was still very busy. And next week will be busier for sure. Well now time to rest and think spooky thoughts. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday! It's another gorgeous day on tap for today, 60 degrees and Sunny. I would attempt to haul the brush trailer to the landfill, but I think it's going to be too muddy and I'm always afraid of getting my truck stuck back there, so I will wait until next weekend, hopefully the ground is good and dried out from all the rain we had and the snow.

We march along now through the month as we prepare to exit January and jump into February. As per tradition here, today I'd like to do the January recap, and with tomorrow being the 1st Dark Arts Sunday for me of 2024, we will have our February preview on Monday. Folks, the very first JOL Day of 2024 is now just in 4 days. I am tremendously happy. I am making my first batch of Cherry cider later today and I am pretty stoked about that.

So without further ado, let's run through our January real quick!

We blasted through the first week of January by hitting the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone on January 5th, then a brief lull in the action before we hit 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON on 1/14/2024. Not to be satisfied with pausing there, we had another milestone stop on 1/24 when we hit 100 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN, and then the very next day, which was special because it was both Tom Turkey Day, AND Rudolph Day, also shared some time with the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. And folks, we're not done yet. Tomorrow is the first trip back to Hogwarts with Dark Arts Sunday, and then the big finale, the day that all Halloween fans (or at least the people in this thread) look forward to, Jack O Lantern Day #1 on Wednesday the 31st.

So how was your January? Let us know today in the recap!

January has been good. I don't know why but this year I feel like 2024 is just starting now. I don't know where January went but I obviously enjoyed it because I am still feeling energized in the New Year.
