Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Can't tell you how many hours my brother and I poured into this one and playing around to get the different endings. I am still a fan of the OG Silent Hill and I really hope that if this remake is successful, that the next game up for the remake treatment is Silent Hill 1!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday! Will it feel like a short week or a long week since yesterday was a holiday? I'm thinking that it will feel like a short week. When I drive home today at lunch time, Wednesday will already be on the brain and you guys know how much I love Wednesdays! The actual day that says "hey it's okay to start thinking about the weekend now".
Exciting counts this morning. Single digits now until JOL Day #2. Single Digits now on the way down to the 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone. And the big 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone that will be here on Saturday. And one count I've almost slept on a little bit, is the DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON count that we will see dip into the 150's THIS WEEK. That's huge. Some of these counts are warming up just like our weather as we head into the Month of Hope. No count is hot yet. When any of them get to around 150, that's pretty hot. Under 100 is burning up and we've got two of those cooking right now.

Spooky Spring in 41 days!!! That's only a little over a month away. I wish I had saved some Halloween candy from last year, or I wish retailers would put out some early Halloween candy.

Today is a special day, not just because it's Wednesday and we are mid-way through the week now, but because we are standing on the doorstep to entering into the 30's count on the way to Spooky Spring. We will cross over that threshold TOMORROW, and it will feel fantastic.
We still have another big milestone waiting for us this weekend, and that is the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone.
As the weather warms outside, I cannot help but feel the connection / similarities to Spring and October. Everytime there is a cool morning or I can feel the temperature going down as the sun sets, the only thing missing are the autumn leaves, pumpkins, and maybe some ghosts roaming around. And we're going to get a heaping helping of some Spooky Spring feels here in just 40 more days. It's getting so close!

I continue to imagine this time as being a slow transition out of / away from winter and into Spooky Spring Territory. Bing helped me create some good images on that. It's almost time for Spooky Spring. Being in the 30's feels electric right now, I can feel the magic waiting to come back and sort of quench our spooky thirsts for a while until we are truly back home in Spooky Season. We are 2 days from 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, and we are a week away from JOL Day # 2, and also just one week from hitting 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Milestones a plenty.
My Thursday Halloween thought today honestly circles back around to Spooky Spring planning. For those of you who are participating with Spooky Spring, when do you think you will have your own planning sessions? I hammered out my film lineup about a week ago, and just need to put it down on a "calendar" of sorts, and found Pluto TV's outstanding scary movie channels to fill in the gaps. I'm probably going to get my calendar ready and publish here for fun on the 30 days to Spooky Spring milestone. Once that's done, I can tweak some other things here and there and be ready for Spooky Spring kickoff weekend which will begin on 3/30, pausing for 24 hours for the observance of easter, and then OFFICIALLY firing off on 4/1.

We're on the heels of Tom Turkey Day #3, and Sunday we will celebrate Rudolph Day. Due to the short month, I think I am going to have "Dark Arts Saturday" for the first time ever. Rudolph Day needs to stay special and not have to share time with anything.
Tomorrow we enter into a 150's count on the way back to Fall Preseason and thinking about that has me pretty excited. 150 feels sort of close-ish, does it not?

I didn't realize that Rudolph Day and Dark Arts Sunday fell on the same day this year. At this point, I have no choice but to celebrate both on the same day; I'll be working onsite on Saturday, so I won't be able to split the celebrations into separate days, unless I have my Harry Potter screening late Saturday night. Which I might just do... I dunno yet. I guess it depends on what time I get home.

Coming up on the end of another month. I need to start planning the horror movie to watch.
Also, Happy Twin Peaks Day. For those not familiar with the show, Feb. 24 is the day the main character (Agent Dale Cooper) arrived in the town of Twin Peaks to investigate a murder. I might start watching the show again today. I will at least listen to the soundtrack.

I'm hoping that the arrival of Spring, warm weather, and the beginning of "Christmas Hunting", which now will be in about 5 weeks, boosts up my spirits.
On the Halloween countdown front, we're 4 days away from our next JOL Day, and getting awfully close now to the 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone. While not "officially" a milestone day, this coming Saturday will mark exactly 30 days until the start of Spooky Spring 2024, and I plan on releasing my film lineup/calendar that day.
