Halloween 2024 Countdown!

June absolutely zoomed by for me. Like I blinked and it was over. Don’t get me wrong: I am excited and ready for the Bers and the return of Halloween season, but I really hope things slow down a bit in July. I do not want the second half of the year to speed by. I just want to linger there for a good, long while.
I can't believe that July starts on Monday, I would have thought the hot weather would have made June feel llloooooonng but obviously not!
Good evening Halloween Fans!
We got the pumpkins planted! 3 of the 4 raised beds are pumpkins. The other one is also gourds. My wife is planning on making some Peanuts cutouts to go back in the garden. It will be fantastic!
As for June... it has been a good month overall. It seems like it has gone fast, but when I think back on what we have done in June and I realize I have been fairly busy, but also been able to enjoy the month. As we head in to July, I know that month will fly by. It always does for me. Football ramps up, starting to think about another school year, my wife teaches 2 weeks of art camps, there is just a lot and it always goes fast.

You can see that we are just ONE day away from Jack O Lantern Day #5, coming our way tomorrow! The highlight of every Halloween fan's month. And we're getting very close now to hitting just 30 DAYS TO FALL PRE-SEASON!! We will also see our Bers count enter the 50's in just 5 more days! Fortunately, Halloween Season and our October counts have a way to go before we start hitting the "danger zone" with those.
Here's all that we have to look forward to coming up in July. As always, some of these counts are not specifically geared towards October/ Fall, but we acknowledge them nonetheless:

Happy Jack O Lantern Day #5! We're less than a week away from July 4th and I felt that incorporating both Halloween and July 4th was too good to pass up! I'm going to be watching "Friday the 13th Part 3" tonight, as I felt like I wanted to have some scares but also take advantage of the summer ambience.
Folks, we will begin the final 30 to Fall Preseason THIS WEEK. We're also going to see our beloved 'Bers count enter the 50's. I think this entire website is geared up and ready for the 50 Day Preview of The Bers. I sure am.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's the brand new 1st day of July and a new month of milestones await us. Tomorrow is not technically a milestone day, but it will mark only 30 DAYS to Fall Pre-Season, and on Wednesday, we will be only 90 Days from our beloved October. The big change for me this week will be entering into a 50's count on our way back to The Bers, which will happen on July 4th!
It's 62 degrees outside and this is probably going to be the coolest morning we will have for a while, at least until we get into mid August when these morning temps become more the norm. I looked at the long range for the month and it looks like right on time, July 20th will be the hottest point of our summer before there is a noticeable change coming as we go into August.
So that's a few more hot weeks before we can finally breathe a sigh of relief as our days start cooling down ever so slightly. Passing the time in "normal" mid 80's will be much easier than fighting through another run of 90's.

It is July 1st! Wow, just wow!
After this week I will be onto some serious Christmas in July vibes. BUT... after that, starting in just 1 month... Halloween will begin to truly take over my world! I am quite excited about it too.

We crawl on towards our July 4th holiday but we have to take note of the counts this morning before we get much farther. We've entered the "Final Thirty" to Fall Preseason as of today. 30 days is all that separates us from standing on The Bers' front door. And when Wednesday gets here this week, it will mark just 90 days to October! I do truly feel like we are going to have another mental shift after Thursday. And speaking of Thursday? We enter into the 50's on our Days to The Bers count! Everyone knows what happens when that count hits 50. It's almost all I can think of at this point.
Another cool morning out there, it's 50 degrees and every time I wake up with it cool like this I am always reminded of what is on the way!

It is a nice cool morning right now, but it will be close to 90 today. This morning feels like Fall and this afternoon there will be no question it is Summer.
Looking at those countdown numbers is a wonderful thing. Only 30 days to the Fall Preseason! I love it!
