Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Rich, I should move to Georgia - you guys always have everything earlier than us up here. My walmart has NOTHING in the theme of Halloween, which is crazy considering we're going into September in 6 days. Only place I've found Halloween at is Lowes, Michaels, Jo-Ann, etc...

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Final week of August! This weekend we will see the Bers arrive, and see me have a 4 day weekend! I hope that doesn't make the week drag by too "slow".
Just 5 days separate us from JOL Day #7, and of course we are less than a week away from our Beloved Bers being back. And three weeks exactly to the "official" start of Halloween Season. As good ole JR would say, "Business is about to pick up".

Good morning Halloween fans!
Sorry for my absence the last several days. School has now started and the HS football season is truly underway. Needless to say things have been busy!
With school and football now here, in my mind, Fall is here!
I did make it to the local Spirit Halloween store over the weekend. My main grocery/department store still has no real amount of Halloween decor out. But, in the food area they are doing better. Quite a bit of candy, snacks, and cereal.

SAME. Our Walmart still just has candy corn, and we found some Snickers pumpkins yesterday. That's it so far. My only problem with moving to Georgia is that they have similar weather to ours here. Maybe there's another place in the US that has the best of both worlds: Ideal weather and a fully Halloween-stocked Walmart.
Let me know when you find it, we'll all move there. LOL

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Monday is finally behind us and we advance another day closer to our ultimate goal this week, which is not only the weekend arriving, but being back home IN THE BERS. I get the jitters every morning when I wake up thinking of how close we are now. And folks, the most magical thing is happening. Today and tomorrow are bordering on "horrible hot". We hit 90 degrees today, and maybe 95 tomorrow. And then, the temps drop off a cliff again and we stay in the 70's for as long as the forecast goes. It might be the coolest start to September that we've enjoyed here in many years.
I'm planning to do a fire on Saturday night in the fire pit, it just feels like the "right" time again, especially with us getting cool evenings again.
You can see now we're just 4 days away from JOL Day #7, and THE BERS trail behind at only 5 days remaining. The arrival of THE BERS also means we begin the FINAL THIRTY to October. WOW.

Wow is it hot today! Temperature was in the mid 90s and the heat index was 103. So hot in fact we could not have football practice outside. Tomorrow is not going to be much better.
I am really wishing for that wonderful Fall weather.
Not much on the Halloween front here in my house. Just have not had time since Sunday to do anything really Halloween. Probably listen to some Halloween music this evening.

Also on Sunday, we begin our "Final Thirty" on the way to October!
We are going to hit 97 degrees today possibly, in the absence of any clouds or rain showers, but then the temperatures go off a cliff beginning tomorrow. We have a run of 70 degree days that welcome us into The Bers!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you are all doing well. I had to bring my car in for some minor repairs. They had to order a part so it will be finished tomorrow hopefully. And our last event came out today for the Halloween Season and we ordered tickets. Happy Halloween!
