Good Morning Halloween Friends! Mini Friday is here! We got through the hot day yesterday no problem. And it started raining at about 7:00 and rained for about an hour, it really beat the temperatures down. It's 69 degrees outside and heading to the mid 80's today. Friday begins our run of 70's degree days!

Folks, we're two days out from JOL Day, and just THREE DAYS from arriving back home in THE BERS. Not even 72 hours away now - 65 hours and 53 minutes from the time of this post.

I have a four day weekend from work, and I've tried to not think about it too much to not make the time go extra slow. I think when this afternoon / evening gets here, I'm going to uncork those thoughts. We have a lot planned for over the weekend. The Halloween lights come out on Sunday. We're doing a country boil probably on Sunday, and then on Tuesday, with me off work, we are going to visit Luray Caverns which is one of my favorite nearby places to visit. Doing all of those things in "The Bers" make them feel extra special!

I hope everybody has a great day and enjoys these last hours of being in the Non-Bers year!

HEB finally has their pumpkin pie ice cream! I bought a pint last night and ate half of it. I easily could have finished the whole thing, but I didn’t want to be awake half the night from the ensuing sugar rush.

I don’t know what that had to do with Halloween, but oh well.

A couple weeks ago DH and I were in Sams club and they had their Halloween display up. They had a 10 foot motion activated animated Reaper that caught our attention right away. The price tag made me think twice about it so we continued with our shopping. Every few minutes you hear the Repear, even on the other side of the store. Long story short that Reaper is now sitting in our foyer LOL. Showed our neighbors across the street. Well they were not going be out done and ordered a different 10 ft Reaper for their front yard. LOL Unfortunately we will not be able to decorate the outside for Halloween until closer to the end of Sept. We have stuff going on the next 3 weekends for sure and will not be home. Can't wait.

Oh and the other day when I stopped at the grocery store what did I see outside in front of the store? Dozens and dozens of assorted size Pumpkins!!!! That put a smile on my face.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Finally Friday of Labor Day weekend! We are nearly BACK HOME in THE BERS! As of this writing we are about 42 hours away from being right back in that Sweet Spot(tm) of September!

You can see from our skinny counts above that we are just one day away from JOL Day, and of course just TWO(!!!) days from being back in The Bers. What a ride it has been. And it wouldn't have been possible without us all being on MMC counting down the days and the hours together.

Folks, we will begin our magical "Final Thirty" to October on Sunday. To say that the October count has went fast, is an understatement. Somehow, even in the sweltering depths of the longest hottest summer ever, time was getting on! So here we are on this glorious holiday weekend Friday, standing on the doorstep to the absolute best 4 months out of the entire year.

Have a great day, friends! TGIF!

JOL Day # 8.jpg

Happy JOL Day, friends! When tonight ends the Bers will begin! T minus 16 hours and 35 minutes. I'm hoping to "ring in" The Bers tonight along with The Bers Bros(tm) over in The Bers thread. It's going to be epic.

You can see that tomorrow begins the "Final 30" to Halloween. I simply don't have many words for today. I can't believe that The Bers are finally here. We've been chasing it all year. And now it's here.

So enjoy today, the very last day of August, and the very last Non-Bers day of the entire year! Have a great day!

I just saw a TV commercial that showed a house fully decorated for Halloween in the background. It won't be long.
I spotted a deflated inflatable up on a porch roof on my drive home, is saw a lot of green so I am thinking maybe a Frankenstein's monster? Gives my drive to and from work a bit more exciting and you are right, it won't be long now!
