DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 30

And then there was ONE! Welcome to October, folks! I meant to post on here last night as we were in the waning hours of September, but I fell asleep and it didn't happen, so this morning we get the "condensed" version.

I am always sad every single year to watch September go. The end of September not only means that I get a year older (Birthday is on the 26th), but also that we have "lost" one of the "Ber" months. Sometimes I wish that it could be The Bers all year, even though I know that's not realistic. When I "started" Jack O Lantern Days in 2020, it was my intention to have a little bit of everything Autumn on that day, and over time it organically turned into more of a "Mini Halloween" than anything else. Which is completely fine because Tom Turkey Day also does a great job of bringing in the Fall / Thanksgiving feels. But the big point here I'm trying to make is that we can't have ANY of the special Holidays that we love without having them all in a row like we do now.

I remember a few years back one of the conversations was what if some of the holidays were "moved" to where there wasn't the huge "drop off" after December 25th where everything just kind of came to a crashing halt. And as nice as that would seem, It wouldn't feel "right". We say goodbye to the holiday season after Christmas is over, and even though January is long and dark, our "batteries", so to speak, are re-charging and that energy that I feel for the first batch of MMC Special Days that month I think is amongst some of the "highest" out of the entire year. It feels exciting yet challenging to be embarking on another journey that will take us back to everything we love. One of the things I look forward to discussing over the "off season" is all of the "Big Moments" and special days that we look forward to throughout the year.

Thanks for the long read and welcome to October! OUR month, as Halloween Fans is finally here! Have a great day!

Truth. As sad as I am to see September go and see only one count remaining in this thread, this month is going to be epic, and our hype and excitement for the new countdown will return in January (or maybe even during the Offseason Planning Session).

For now, let's go spook it up!

Our 7-year-old neighbor boy who lives across the street came over and rang the doorbell last night. He stated that he was outside the night before looking at all the Halloween decorations in the neighborhood, and he really liked ours the best. Which is too funny, because we're the only ones with decorations up. LOL. He can be odd at times, but he sure is sweet.

WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 4

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Wednesday! The rain is finally out of here. Except for last Saturday, it has been raining here basically non stop since last Wednesday. I'm hoping it dries out enough today that I can start mowing grass again tomorrow. It's high and thick here!!

Folks its exactly 30 days until Halloween. I know that it is going to go fast! AMC Fear Fest launched on Sunday, and now we have SyFy's "30 days of Halloween". I've been enjoying it all so far, I haven't personally witnessed any "Halloween Duds", but they are out there!

I hope everyone has a great day, enjoy this full long month of being in October!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 28

Good Morning Halloween Friends! October marches on. Happy Thursday to all. Almost the weekend now!

Today we finally get some sunshine and some beautiful October weather. It looks clear for the next 9 days. Cool nights and warm days. If it stays sunny all day, I'm going to try and mow my back yard tonight, it hasn't been mowed in two weeks because of the non stop rain. It's a jungle back there!

I hope that everyone has a great day and can get in some relaxing this evening and watching some Halloween shows!

After I got home this afternoon, I put up the rest of my outside decorations. I can't get my light projector to work. It is new so I can't figure it out. I got my spiderweb and my bats up. And my blow up Jabberin' Jack. He is adorable but evidentially the sound is not adjustable and he does not talk very loud. Minor thing though.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 27

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Friday! TGIF. Another beautiful October day is on tap. AMC was playing a Michael Myers marathon last night. It seemed kind of early for him to be on TV on a Marathon, but maybe it was just coincidental. We can always count on having a Michael Myers Marathon usually on the day before Halloween, and Halloween day itself.

We mentioned yesterday that Michael Myers is sort of the ambassador to Christmas, and sure enough in 4 weeks, my Christmas tree will come out of storage and will be ready to go for Nov 1 when it becomes Christmas time everywhere.

I saw in the news a few days ago that "Chucky" has been cancelled after 3 season! I personally enjoyed the show but did feel like season 3 was not as good as the first two.

Have a great day, friends! Think those Halloween thoughts because it's "our time" now!

Seeing just one countdown in this thread is unreal. Is it possible to be happy and sad at the same time? That’s how I feel seeing 27 days until Halloween.

I have been alternating between my Spooky Season playlist and the Silent Hill soundtracks while at work. Today I think I’ll throw in a little bit of Ambient Mixer. I have listened to “Great Pumpkin Waltz” so many times already (not that I’m complaining — it never gets old).

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 26

Happy Saturday, Halloween Friends! It's supposed to be a beautiful day, 74 degrees and sunny. And it's an October weekend. I've said it before, but these might be the best weekends out of the entire year. And Bers weekends in general have the edge over "Non Bers" weekends!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and gets to enjoy it! Have a great day!

My Great Pumpkin Egg Hunt is one week from today! I have 119 eggs filled and I have the candy and animal crackers to fill some others, and after that I just need to pick up Cheese Balls and pretzels to round out the lot. I don't want to jinx it, but right now the weather is looking like 83 degrees, sunny, and no rain! That is a bit warm but after the cold and rain we have had I will take it!!!

It sounds like you will have so much fun.
