Good Morning Halloween Friends! Finally the weekend again! We're getting into the 50's again today, we hit 60 tomorrow, and then we are in the 70's every day next week until Saturday. Friday right now is supposed to be near 80 degrees!

It's going to be a great weekend to do some work outside, put down some grass seed and fertilizer, and wait for the grass to grow! I think we'll be mowing in about 4 more weeks!

You can see from our counts above that in ONE WEEK, we are going to hit the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone! That means after that, we will have only ONE count remaining in the 200's! I can't stress enough how much time seems to be "moving different" now that we are out of Jan/Feb.

The most immediate milestone coming up will be 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN, and I think that is a fine time as any to unveil my Spooky Spring 25' movie schedule. Not everybody likes the scary stuff, but some might take inspiration from some of my picks, and I even make sure to throw some "Duds" in there!

I have a few more days until I get temps in the 70s but I need to put some grass seed down on two bald patches, I am skipping the fertilizer this year because I think I might have overdone it because nothing grew. I have actually wondered if I should see if I can find some small patches of sod to lay down?

I have been doing some de-cluttering and re-organization and I came across some big balsa wood Halloween decorations that I picked up on sale after last year and I had absolutely forgot about them. They are where I won't forget them now and will remember to pick up craft paints! I think this is my official "to do" for this Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Day #2 of the weekend! We advance further in our Halloween / Fall countdown. Every day is a mini journey of sorts - small steps add up to far distance. 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN will be here on Tuesday! I'll see the baby count get into the 70's on Wednesday(!!!), and on Saturday we will see 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. I'm excited because this time next week there will be only ONE count left that is in the 200's. By the time we are mid-way through Spooky Spring, THERE WILL BE NONE.

Our group with my uncle being the head of it has been so much fun the last several years on Sundays with Halloween/Fall activities leading the way. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Unfortunately the weekends go by so fast and now it's Monday again. But just like a favorite "Bers Song", destinations are where we begin again. We're starting the journey back to the weekend today. We're going to reach two milestones this week. The first is tomorrow when we reach 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN. The next will be on Saturday when we reach 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER. Starting on Sunday, there will be only ONE count left that is still in 200's. I think I've mentioned it already, but by the time we are about mid-way through Spooky Spring, there won't be ANY counts left that are still in the 200's. I think that's pretty scary to be honest. And of course we have 8 primary counts right now, and we will lose two more of those in the next couple of weeks.

We're supposed to have Spring (or Bers ) like weather all of this week. Even on the 10 day, there is no day colder than 57 degrees. I almost wonder if Spring weather is "truly" here. You can never count out March fully. But I hope, and I think most people hope as well, that winter is truly done.

It’s starting to happen! Our Spooky Spring and Halfoween celebrations are somewhat of a beginning themselves. I think, maybe, that they are the first “big” celebrations that we have on this site, unless I’m forgetting something. And once we get halfway to Halloween, we start getting other “halfway celebrations” pretty rapidly after that. So I’d consider this the start of the momentum.

Sounds fun. We are supposed to start a wet patch later this week so I did my over-seeding in hopes of a lush lawn this year. We will see.

Happy Tuesday, folks! We've finally hit 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN, and Spooky Spring draws closer every minute. As a matter of fact, it is just THREE WEEKS away.

My Baby #2 count has now entered into the 70's. That count hasn't quite greased yet, but it felt like it stayed above 100 forever, now we are down in the 70's and we will be in the 50's on that count on JOL Day #3. That is when I think the time will truly begin to fly, we all know how quick the "final 50" goes on anything.

I promised earlier in the month that I would unveil my movie schedule for Spooky Spring this year on milestone day. Without further delay, here we go:

What started off as a typo, we're just gonna roll with it - Ghost Ship will be played twice in 5 days. Even the big TV channels play the same thing over and over, sometimes on the same day!



I had some movies I watched last year for Spooky Spring, and are introducing some new ones. Should be fun.

We are almost to half way season. That nice stretch from April to June is all the big 3s halfways. We finish the halfways and the 4th of July and we are in full drive to the actual seasons with the 50 days bers countdown and our August preseason.

And St Patrick's Day weekend kind of is the start of that middle part of the year and half way season for me personally. It's not the Bers, but it is like having a snack to hold you over for dinner! The good times are about to begin!

I love it! What happened to Halloween 3? LOL. I’m just happy to see that Darkness Falls isn’t on there.

Halloween 3 isn't about Michael Myers at all! It actually works fine as a stand-alone scary movie, but Michael isn't even a part of the movie nor is he even mentioned.

Darkness Falls was a JOL Day choice a few years ago, and it was just as scary as I remember!
