Good Morning Halloween Friends! Mini Friday is here! Almost the weekend again!

Finally we have sunshine and warm weather after an entire week of nearly non-stop rain. I'm going to mow my back yard this evening after work, which is going to be a chore in itself because it is nearly a foot tall in some spots. I was mowing everything every two weeks because of how dry it was here, and then we got 5 inches of rain. So my back yard is coming up on almost three weeks of not being mowed!

We're just 3 days away from JOL Day #4 now, and slowly but surely approaching our 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone. Also "observed" that day? 90 DAYS TO THE BERS. I know that isn't technically a milestone day, but it seems too significant not to acknowledge.

I hope you are well! Tomorrow we will do our May wrap-up (!!!) in this thread, and Saturday will be the June preview, just like always. Have a great day!
 
Good morning Halloween Fans!

We have sunshine and no rain! My backyard is still too wet to mow, but I am hoping either early Saturday morning or Sunday I will be able to mow.

We enjoyed a little fire last night. Luckily I had some dry wood to be able to use. It was a nice to sit by the fire and relax. We will have lots of fires over the summer and throughout the Fall.
 
Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a beautiful day here. I love this time of year. Except they got the a/c on too much inside but hey that's why I go and take a few walks during the day outside. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Friday! At long last we can see another weekend peeking through the clouds!

We're just two days away from JOL #4 which will officially "close out" May, and with us being so near to the end of the month, it is time once again for the wrap-up / month end review part of our thread.

This May wrap up is going to be an easy one. THE ROAD was what dominated this month and most of my thoughts. Seeing that 100 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone made all of the tough days up to this point worth it. And also the fact that voting was opened up for the 50 Day Preview of The Bers. That was my own little personal goal and probably most / all of the people reading this thread. How about you guys? Did anything stand out in May beyond THE ROAD opening up?

The first half of May dragged just a little, but I think it’s just because I was so aware that it was “turning point month” that I was just counting the days and willing things to go faster. And, boy, did they ever. The second half of May flew by. And I’ve loved seeing all of the halfway to Halloween and halfway to Thanksgiving announcements this month!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday to you all! It's a gorgeous 59 degrees outside and only heating up to 72 today. I mowed over the yard again last night and it felt like September as there was a cool breeze and the temps were coming down. It's so easy to think about Autumn now especially since it's "up next" as the next season.

I don't know if I mentioned it in any of the other threads, but I recently dusted off the old card collection and am trying to get back in to MTG (Magic The Gathering) after about 22 years. I haven't played since college and feel like I need another hobby. I've been invited to some casual games over the summer and I'm looking forward to seeing if I can still play. I bring it up because I came across two cards that I think everyone will appreciate:

I saw them and thought of this thread, and thought of Halloween! What beautiful illustrations!

Once again, we are having a milestone celebration nearly once a week! And I also just have to say, I can't believe we are looking at June with the understanding that in a matter of weeks, HALF of this year will be gone. Time might be flying again!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well on this Saturday. It is 55 degrees as we hit noon. A chilly day here for late May. It feels like October. Dare I say it? I said it. We probably won't have a ton of days feeling like this the next 3 months so it's nice for a change. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We close out the month of May today!

I am excited to see the Fall Preseason countdown enter the 50's on Tuesday, as well as the 90 DAYS TO THE BERS on Wednesday of this week, that is also our same milestone day as 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. I think that count will be the most jarring, as it has been the one that has been out in front of us the longest.

We haven't had any count in the 200's since April 14th of last month. In just 54 days, there will no longer be any 100 level counts in this thread. We started off this thread with 7 full counts and got eighth count starting in January when we were counting back down to The Bers. Three of those counts started off in the mid 300's, so you can really appreciate how it feels today to see only 54 days remaining that contains a count above 100 days!

Tonight's movie is SLEEPY HOLLOW (1999), which I have been thinking about for weeks. It was on TV here during Spooky Spring and i realized that it would make a perfect JOL Day movie. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! June is here! We have a couple of things happening this week that I think are pretty Octobuler - I just made that word up just now but I think it might stay part of thread lore.

First - we will enter into the 50's on our Fall Pre-Season count on WEDNESDAY! Also happening that day? 90 DAYS TO THE BERS, and 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN - all happening on the same day! I mentioned it the other day but it really stands out to me that in 53 days we will have no counts above 100 days anymore!

Friends, I hope you are all well and I hope you're ready to count down this month with me. Holly's surgery is in 11 days and I'm starting to get pretty nervous. I'm just looking forward to it being over and us having a week or so at home to just relax and recover! Have a great day!
 
We were doing yard work on Saturday, and my son says this feels like Marching Band weather! It definitely feels like had that fall feel, warm sun with a crisp breeze. The only thing missing was the fall colors.
 
Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a beautiful Monday here. We should see temps getting close to 70 but that's slightly on the cooler side of normal I believe. But it's June and it feels great. I love summer (even though it's not officially summer today). Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Tuesday! Monday is in the rearview mirror and once again we are crawling towards another weekend. The first weekend of June! And you can see from the banner above, we are standing on the doorstep of another MILESTONE DAY, which will be here tomorrow! Officially we are celebrating 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, but we are also acknowledging only 90 DAYS TO THE BERS, and also, our FALL PRESEASON count will be down in the 50's!

And I have something to share with you, I'm not sure if this is just an order mix up, or if I am legitimately seeing Halloween candy in the grocery store the earliest ever of my life:

Good morning Halloween Fans!

The temperature at the moment is only 57 degrees, with a slight breeze.

I was browsing some of the new Halloween animatronics that the big Halloween stores have this year. There are some neat Beetlejuice ones coming out. I don't know that I want to spend the money on them, but they would look great in our house. Our living room is Beetlejuice themed for Halloween.
