Good Morning Halloween Friends!

Happy to wake up this morning and see that there are NO MORE 300's in this countdown thread. We won't see any count again north of 300 until November 1st, 2026!

Now that we are firmly in January, the first three counts are really the ones that I'm going to be focusing on. Beginning tomorrow, we will be only TWO WEEKS AWAY from the 100 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING milestone. Everybody on these threads knows how fast a count moves when we are at 100 days and under.

And Spooky Spring is sort of out in the distance right now, but at under 90 days away, it's not TOO far, especially since by the time we celebrate JOL Day #1, it will be a mere 61 days until the beginning of Spooky Spring!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! The first full week of January is here! I wonder if it will feel like time is dragging, or will it move "normal"?

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well on this Monday. Back to work. Back to school. Back to normalcy. That's what I think today is all about for most people. The last 2 weeks were so different than the next 50. Happy Halloween!
Indeed! This is why I consider today to be a "milestone" as well. Back to a bit of normalcy and routine now. This is when the countdowns get real for me. I'm incredulous Fall Preseason is only 208 days away. I've also embraced Halfoween more and more each year. Not only have I stored a few pumpkin beers for the occasion, but I've also stashed a bag of Mickey's Not-So-Scary pumpkin coffee away as well. Happy New Year, everyone!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Tuesday! We move one day closer to the weekend. I like to think of the counts right now as kind of "simmering".

We're one week away now from 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON (wow), and two weeks away from seeing 100 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN.

I have the feeling that Spooky Spring is going to be here before we know it.

Does anyone still see any Halloween decorations anywhere? I noticed the other day coming home through the neighborhood, that the giant skeleton at one of the houses, who was wearing a Santa hat, has been put away for the season. And the Christmas lights are dwindling, but down in my Grandma's neighborhood, they are still abundant. I went down last night and got strong FEELS turning into the neighborhood because the first 6-8 houses were all lit up still!

I hope everyone has a great day!

I’ve seen a few houses with the giant skeletons that were decked out for Christmas. The best one I’ve seen was actually a giant Jack Skellington — during the Halloween season it was decked out in Jack’s usual black outfit, but during the Christmas season they actually put his Santa costume on him from the movie. It was awesome.

I have not seen any Halloween decorations anywhere, I even felt like it was all pulled well before Halloween this year. I know there will be people who blame the "creep" of holidays but I am not sure if that is the reason, I wonder if stores are ordering less and aren't having as much left as they used to?

Happy Hump Day Halloween Friends! Already Wednesday on this first full week of January!

I'm not gonna say it! I don't want to jinx any of us. Okay, I'll take the chance. Could this January actually be moving fast?

One thing I really like about Wednesdays is that you can sort of see the weekend start coming into view and it's kind of exciting to look forward to the weekend as the little mini-vacations that we know they are. If we consider this weekend, then when we start the new week of Jan 11th - Jan 17th, we are already looking at the HALF WAY POINT of JANUARY, which arrives NEXT WEEK! So yeah! In a "normal" year, I feel like it would still be January 2nd, or even still in the dreaded "slog"!

But, time marches on. The Christmas lights are coming down this weekend so we will see if that hurts my mood any. But I know that has to be done before I can embrace the first JOL Day. Fun fact - I don't have any movies picked out for the 31st, I might decide that next week.

I also forgot to mention this, but on all of the times during this countdown season that a JOL Day falls on a Fri/Sat/Sun, I'm strongly considering running Halloween movies in the background all day on loop. Just like the real thing. I will play with that later and see what that looks like.

Have a great day!

Retail seems to have gotten a lot "better" at knowing exactly how much to buy. I've noticed after-sales are quite skimpy now. This also seems to result in a lot of product being gone two weeks before the actual holiday.

January seems to be moving a bit faster than usual. But, if I remember correctly, the same thing happened last year: It started out seemingly fast but got slower as we approached February. I actually wouldn’t mind it slowing down (hope I didn’t jinx myself there) as I realized we are already a full week into the New Year, and I don’t want 2026 to pass me by.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well on this Wednesday. I am here and thankful to be able to post on the best site and one of the best threads daily. We have a mostly cloudy day but temps getting into the 40s will feel really nice. Happy Halloween!
