Halloween 2026 Countdown!

I hope it was good news.
Thank you! We are going to have surgery. I'm not sure of the exact date, but she has a consult with her doctor / surgeon on January 16th.
I'll let everybody know here when we actually go to the hospital. Just like before, almost!
I'll start praying for a smooth procedure now.

Good Morning Halloween Friends!
It feels like we're jumping through January! It's already Friday, the first full week of January is nearly complete, and NEXT WEEK we will be looking at the HALF WAY point through the month! Anybody's guess on if it continues to "feel" fast, or does it slow down some as we venture further into January.
I think this weather has been helping move the time. It's crazy but over the next 10 days, I don't see any horrible cold weather. Makes me wonder if we cruise through January and maybe into an earlySpooky Spring?
4 days away from our next milestone here which will be the 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON milestone. That's mentally a strange one to process right now. We're still in early January but here in just a couple of more days we already have a count break into the 100's?
Relax, Count, I'm not talking about THE count, I'm talking about our Fall Preseason Count.
And 6 days after that milestone, we hit 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. January seems to amaze me this month. Maybe I should have paid more attention in past months as to just how many milestones and counts flip in January. If nothing else, it helps move us through the month!

And of course for Fall we already have the real thing.
I don’t know, I was just thinking for ways to get my Halloween fix even earlier, and that’s what I came up with. Maybe I’ll try “beta testing” it this year and see how it goes.

I really really love this idea, but at least for me personally, the weather in April is the mirror edge of October. I think it would be too difficult where I live to really mentally get into it when we are freezing to death in January, and literally melting away in the 100 degree days of Summer.

I love trying get to those little moments of Halloween all year long.
We had a lot of rain yesterday with 40-45 mph winds and I was so grateful that the temps were in the 40s otherwise it might have been blizzard conditions.

Halloween lights went up on October 1st, 2025, transitioned over to full Christmas on 11/1/2025, and ran for the last time yesterday, January 10th 2026. That's an incredible 101 days of running. No wonder my electric bill was so high!
Two days away now from the 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON milestone, and just four days away now from 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Two major milestones before Friday is even here!

I think hitting 100 days of holiday illumination earns you an A+
When I first started doing this routine years ago, I never really started out by trying to put a number on how many days I wanted to go. When the Halloween lights came about organically in 2020, I think I realized then that we had something special. As I was only having to wait about 8 1/2 months from the time they came down, instead of having to wait almost 11 months. I'm all for trying to shave time however possible!
