Good Morning Pumpkin People! The month of hope is finally here! And it looks like March is going to deliver us a HUGE improvement on the weather front. Thank God. This was the longest and most brutal winter I can ever remember in my lifetime.
There's big things coming up on the horizon. This time next week we will have moved our clocks forward one hour, and in just 19 days from today, "OFFICIALLY" Spring has begun. This current weekend is actually the meteorological beginning of Spring. It sure feels like it.
Nobody likes looking forward to Mondays, especially me, but tomorrow will mark only 30 DAYS to SPOOKY SPRING, and we will also be down into a 50's count towards Halfoween!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's the day of hope. What a day it is. I feel the hope in the air. I love saying this on March 1 but no more January/February until we have an entire spring, summer, autumn and holiday season. Happy Halloween!
For me, Halloween starts with the Monster Bash Conference in June. It slows down a little in July and August, but hits full speed in September.

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Welcome to the first full week of THE MONTH OF HOPE!
Believe it or not, it is actually calling for SNOW today, after being in the 60's all weekend. I really think that this is the final time this "winter" that we will get any kind of mixed precipitation. I think the ground and roads are too warm for anything to stick, so it is just going to accumulate on the cars.
Folks - as our friend Rich pointed out yesterday - we indeed reached 1/3 of the way back to Halloween! And today I have something exciting to share, as we are now HALFWAY BACK TO THE BERS:
Now, you're thinking - how can this be possible when it is only March 2nd, and the new year was just two months ago? Well you see, in this thread, we observe The Bers on a 12 month calendar, so when The Bers started last September 1st, 2025, it has been 6 months since then. Some would say the "True" halfway point (8 month calendar) is not until May 1st, 2026. So we can say in this thread that today is the halfway point "observed".
We're in the 50's now on the count to Spooky Spring, and on FRIDAY, we will see 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. That count will begin the 100's territory as soon as this weekend, and then there will be only TWO counts out of the main 7 counts that are still in 200+ territory!!

I've got Spooky Spring on my radar. It's going to be the driving force that gets me through March. Kind of like the "practice session" for getting through the summer with the Bers waiting just on the other side. The payoff will be worth it in April when we start getting all of the Halfway to Halloween news and celebrations.
Either way you look at it, we're getting closer, and any milestone is worthy of celebrating. Happy Milestone Day!!!
Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well on this Monday. I am planning on this being a normal 5 day work week here. Last week was a total mess with the near 2 feet of snow that fell. It's a busy work week but I'm glad we have no big snowstorms coming. Happy Halloween!
On that note...here's a quirky countdown I'll throw out. 125 days until July 5th, which is when we have no other holiday obstacles in our way.

And, like always, The Count doesn't lie. We're also gearing up for ANOTHER big milestone on Friday, when we reach only 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Our counts feel like they are heating up a little bit as we approach Spooky Spring, which is now under a month away! It still feels crazy to realize that even here in early March, there will soon be only TWO out of the main seven counts that are left in the 200's. And before Spooky Spring is even HALFWAY through, there will be ONLY 100 level counts! That is indeed a Spooky thought for a Tuesday.

Two big milestones this week!
I think this is the first post that caught me totally by surprise. And had @SolidSnake84 not said he already double checked it, I would have!!!
I think I learn something new every day thanks to this thread. I can tell you that I have truly never thought about it like that. I always looked at July 4th as Summer's Last Stand / going away party because August was fall pre-season. But you are correct, after July 4th, the next holiday will be IN THE BERS!

That picture brings me so much joy. August just hits different now that I think of it as Fall Preseason. I used to absolutely dread it before I started visiting MMC. It's the hottest month of summer and it's peak hurricane season, after all. Now, it's a much anticipated downhill slide into the Bers.
Only 150 days seems almost too good to be true. I decided several years ago to get my Halloween party started August 1st since it all goes too quickly. And 3.5 weeks until Halfoween is in striking distance? That's just unbelievable. Thanks to this forum I've learned to love that day, and now I have a few traditions attached to it.
