Happy Halfoween, Pumpkin People! In just six months from today, we will have reached the ultimate destination in this thread - Halloween.

I am off work today and tomorrow and am looking forward to the 4 day weekend. I have nothing "special" planned except to burn the fall candles tonight and settle in for the movie "Trick or Treat", which I think might be one of the most "perfect" Halloween movies of all time.

An interesting thought arose last night for me, does Spooky Spring have an "afterglow" period like the first few days of November does? It will be interesting to see. I'm so glad you are all here with me to celebrate our big halfway moment. Have a great day!

Happy Halfoween everyone! This day seems sooooooo far away when I'm putting away the Xmas decor. But as the cliche says....time sure does fly. I've learned to enjoy this day. I just wish I didn't have so much work to do. Nonetheless I'll squeeze in some spooky music, Grinch Halloween, AppleTV Peanuts Halloween episode. Currently burning my Vampire Blood candle, and already had my two cups of Mickey's Not-so-Scary Pumpkin coffee (glad I stored it!). I've even pulled out my Jack Skellington tree ornament. Later my friend will stop by and we use this an excuse to drink some pumpkin beers and throw on a movie in the background (Trick or Treat is a GREAT idea) and then watch 70s/80s Halloween compilations on YouTube.

Happy Halfway to Halloween!

In addition to my Christmas plaque, Polar Express bell and plethora of Star Trek stuff on my desk, I also drink daily from my favorite Halloween cup and keep my Mulled Cider candle open.

Happy Halfoween Evening! Today and all of this evening felt like October. I have "Trick R Treat" playing right now in the background, the kids are asleep, and I have my wicked vanilla woods candle from Bath and Body works burning. SMELLS really bring in the feels. The only thing missing tonight is Pizza, which we have coincidentally had the past two Halloween evenings! Have a great evening!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Are we in the Spooky Spring Afterglow now? I can't believe April is over. But you know what I'm really hoping for? That May is true "Spring weather", so we continue to get some of those Autumn feels for as long as possible before the Sweat Fest takes over.

We've already established that May seems to be the "month of milestones", and I'm ready for "The Road" to open up that will finally take us home to The Bers.

We're gonna see 90 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON on Sunday! And then on Monday 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER! How incredible!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I'm up and early this morning because today is the Apple Blossom 10K. I didn't train as hard as I did last year, but I feel good and I'm just looking to have a good time today and not try and set a PR or anything. It's a nice cool morning, not even going to hit 60 degrees by the time we start, so I might have a decent finishing time without even trying.

You can see on our "weeks" counts this morning that it is exactly 26 weeks until Halloween weekend. Again in 2026 we have the "Halloweekend". It's awesome to think about. We will also see 90 days to Fall Preseason tomorrow, and of course on Monday we will reach 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER. I have a feeling that these counts in May are going to just rip. We now have just 41 days to go to surgery and that's not even 6 weeks. NEXT TUESDAY we will have exactly one month to go. Time feels like its moving fast and we aren't even doing anything. Will all the counts move this fast?

I'm heading to Hobby Lobby today post-race to try and find some Christmas things on the shelf and take in another dose of fall. Have a great day!

I'm back home and resting after the 10k. As suspected, I was slower than last year, but only by about a minute or so. I had a blast and physically feel much better than I did last year when I got done. Today sure feels like Fall. I love it. Every day that we stay cool/cold is just a day that the SweatFest doesn't win. Make no mistake its out there waiting. Have a great rest of your day!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! So I'm cheating, a little, because today isn't "really" a milestone day. But it's 90 Days to Fall Preseason, it's 37 degrees outside, and I really feel excited to share this news this morning. I remember when we started the Fall Preseason Count, it was nearly a year away at 273 days! Now being down to just 90 feels light and manageable. Especially since I have a feeling May is going to move fast with all of the milestones and my own surgery countdown (once again) that is now just 40 days away.

It's truly a milestone "eve" though, and tomorrow is 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Milestone Monday! It is indeed just 150 Days to October now. And a nice round 120 DAYS TO THE BERS.

If you have been noticing that some of our milestone / countdown pictures look different, I have slowly been using Gemini to clean up some of my old pictures and make them look sharp to use on the board here. This picture above is my own picture, but somehow it became small and grainy when I got a new computer two years ago. I also think I might replace some of the "old" pictures with new creations maybe after Halloween is over. I'll save the old ones in a folder, I don't want to delete them. Perhaps I can break them back out for if we ever have a milestone on a Thursday, sort of like a "Throwback Thursday".
