One thing I LOVE about MMC is that as much as the Christmas season is #1 to almost every one of us most of us also are obsessed with other holidays such as Halloween.
I decided that what made Halloween better this year was that it was on a weekend. Unfortunately, it will not be on a weekend for the next several years. Therefore, going forward I am going to make a conscious effort to celebrate the weekend before Halloween each year as if it was Halloween itself. I think that I did a better job this year of even trying to start by mid-October and celebrating each weekend more Halloweenish but next year I think the entire month I want to treat each weekend as if it were actually the day of Halloween and watch more shows, have more candy and just really take it in more.

We went out trick-or-treating at my in-laws' neighborhood, then passed out candy at their house. It was fun and my kids are already talking about next Halloween!
The season was good, but as always there were things we didn't have time for.

You get to live it through your kids which even makes it better for you. I don't have kids but that's really awesome. Maybe they're taking after their dad's obsession if they're talking about Halloween 2016 already .
