I hope not! We will fight to keep the tradition alive!

I do think there are more trick-or-treaters on weekdays. Sounds weird, but when Halloween is on a weekend more places have organized events, plus it competes with football and things like that. I may be wrong but it seems to be true around my beck of the woods.
Yeah that tradition should stay...and interesting on the weekday comment. You may actually be on to something with that.

Good morning. We are looking at 363 days until the next Halloween. Seems like a ways off, but we have Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up. And, with Halloween Season starting September 24th, we only have 326 days until then!
Thankfully this thread will give us a daily dose of Halloween between now and then. Have a spooky day!
Thanks for the count Ryan! The Halloween season? Can you explain that? I mean obviously it's like the Christmas season...just curious who came up with that date? I like it!

I give up. Who is Devon Graham?
He is a fellow high school classmate in the original Halloween. You never see him, but in the beginning when Michael Myers is creeping around Laurie and her friends while they're walking home from school, they make a joke that it's probably Devon Graham driving the car. [from the mental institution] ;) "Hey, jerk! Speed kills!"

This past summer we all decided, in the Halloween countdown, to name the first Friday of Autumn as the official start to the season. Like the Christmas Countdown, it gives the count a little more depth.

We actually had more trick-or-treaters this year, but we also saw a lot of vehicles dropping their kids off in our neighborhood.
Hopefully it's not a sign of the times, but I tend to lean that way.
I remember when it was a full day event, and you to go trick-or-treating from the time you got home from school until your parents made you come home !
Now there's time restrictions.
It's such a wonderful tradition, I hope it doesn't become nonexistent!
We have the same thing happen here, a lot of people drop their kids off over on our side of town.
Nowadays a lot of malls host trick-or-treating and thousands of parents take their kids there because they feel more safe.
Different world today for sure ..
