Elfie...what the world is wrong with you? How can you not love Bo Bice? He was the ONLY redeeming thing on that show tonight. The dude rocks. Hasn't changed his hair style since 7th grade, a man after my own heart. He was the David Cook of that season, just ran into a buzzsaw named Carrie Underwood. He could sing "Love Me Tender" and "Dude Looks Like a Lady" back to back, standing upside down. They should have had him sing with Cook tonight and thrown in Daughtry for good measure.
Bice has had pretty severe health issues since leaving Idol but he appears to be a solid family man who is true to his artistry.
True, I still haven't bought an AI album but I'd consider getting one for Christmas from Bo, no problem.

I would admit though, Bo's got a face made for radio.
That's the thing about Jar-Jar. If you heard him on the radio you'd instantly turn him off. But, look at that empty-headed, blue-eye facade on TV and the dude sounds like the Voice of Heaven all of a sudden.
see i really think thats it for me. when i allow myself to be gut-honest, i know that bo's nose make me kinda ill. his face is smushed or something. as i said, no denying his talent. and that was some serious rockin' for a boy who has had the kind of surgeries he did, his looks just hit me so wrong.
as for being the only good performance on the show last night..... hey, I LOVED RING OF FIRE!!

see this is what i think a lot of america doest get (and yes, i know that AI is a SINGING competition) but in places like austin, the jason castros of the world, rule!
they ARE on the radio. earnest singer/songwriter types command the airwaves and the bars and coffeehouses. he will do great after the tour. he isnt a sucky singer, he is just not in his element and is overwhelmed by the thing. he needs to go back to a & m and do his thang.
he didnt leave sad, he had fun and clearly enjoyed the ride (and the better quality herb given "stars")

Let's meet in Vegas Elfie cause I'm dyin' to see that show too!!! I have to admit though, that after seeing the playback of David A's "Love Me Tender", I REALLY loved it...He is such a huge talent for a seventeen year old...I mean this kid can SING...My wife and I argue during AI about who will win...she's busilly dialing for David Cook while I quietly wish I were David Archuleta...Maybe in my next life...He will win...Mark my words...Because he is the purest form of what the "American Idol" should be that we've seen in many years......At least in my opinion...

Jason went bye, bye, he was ready to go home. So I still think it will be between the 2 Davids as the final 2.
It was David Archuleta day here in Utah. I worked all day (Mother's Day is big in the chocolate business) so I didn't personally attend any of the events however I did get caught in traffic.
Late tonight I got a good laugh driving through Murray, where he is from, and seeing all the signs that were just plastered everywhere. One Chinese restaurant had a sign that said "David Archuleta Can Eat Free Here for Life", while the Arby's sign read "I'm Thinking David". For no less than four miles of road there were signs like that plastered on businesses, offices and the like.
The news was just plastered with the guy including several stories about people who have written to him from around the world saying how much his singing has inspired them. I'm not too sure how much of it is to be believed, honestly. One woman told on camera a tale of being on the verge of suicide until she heard him sing "Imagine".
The kid is just a kid though -- he's very humble for a kid his age, especially one with his talent.
Quite the interesting thing to see the Idol phenomenon (not David, just the influence of the show) so up close. If you're interested, here's the link to the local "David Archuleta Tracker".
He couldn't even sleep in his own house tonight. Can you believe that? He has to stay at a hotel because of security concerns. Amazing.

I read here on the computer that he was home for the week-end, can't believe you got away with not taking the girls to see him Jeff.
They have also banned his father was being backstage anymore with David, guess he pulled a stunt by changing Davids song without telling the producers & it caused alot of trouble.

You actually believe TMZ.com? Those guys are vicious. I was talking with someone locally here who knows his family, and in particular, David's father. They have been very hurt by the media falsehoods. No doubt in my mind that he's a doting father and one who has carefully crafted the talents of his son.

Got ya! Was wondering about that since he always speaks so highly about his dad & how much he has helped him in his career.Thank you for setting me straight on that story.
It bothers me here in the local media to see people openly question the sincerity of this kid and his family. They look like the real deal to me and those locally who know them have been very defensive of them in the media. It seems whenever someone nice does well there are those elements out there who are out to destroy them through critical character assassination. Makes me sick.
I have not been following the David A story as close as Jeff but must say I have heard some negatives on the news re his father trying to control everything. All I can say is the kid has real talent and probably the best with AI. I really do love the gal left though. Shiesta...is that her name? I really like her alot. I think it will be between David A and Shiesta.
Don't you live in Florida, Twinkle? You're the first I have heard anywhere who really likes Syesha.
