Oy!! I'm so sick of Syesha. She's on the front page (YES! FRONT PAGE!) of the newspaper every day. They are very important reports too. What her hair style was. How she dressed! We have people being layed off and losing their homes to foreclosure left and right here in Southwest Florida and they are concentrating on this bit of fluff on the front page??

David's vocal coach was on the Today show defending his father ,all these stories are false just as Jeff said yesterday. He is not banned from Idol & he has to be there especially since David is a minor. He said these rummors have been going on since David was on Star Search years ago, & that David & his father are doing fine as a matter of fact they are doing a photo shoot together.
I still say it will be the 2 Davids as the final two.

They are cuttin' up David's Dad pretty good in the press...They say he was behaving in a similar fashion back in his son's Star Search days...Nobody knows the truth except those who are dealing with him day to day...All of this other crap just makes for controversey to get people to watch...David Archuleta is a well mannered, mature young man with a great talent...His Dad must be doing something right!

Serves me right for not coming to the forum for so long. I had no idea there was an AI thread. I'm glad to hear the rumors about David A's dad may not be true.
I liked Jason. He reminded my of one of my grandsons. But he wasn't up there with the the last few contestants, so It was right for him to go. I like all three of the finalists. Syesha is my favorite. I love her style of singing. She reminds me of some of the old style blues singers. I'd love to hear her sing something of Billie Holiday's.
The two Davids are both great. I've been sad everytime someone is voted off, but of course they can't all win. sigh.

I find it interesting that we've picked up some Syesha fans on this thread in the last little while. I'd love to see her tackle Billie Holliday but I doubt she could pull it off.
Then again, neither David could do Billie Holliday either.
Fact of the matter is that none of this matters. All three of these people are headed for albums and that is when the real votes take place -- who will buy their album? There hasn't been an idol yet that made me cough it up for them.

I have to admit that I have bought some AI albums. Some I've felt cheated on and some I'm happy with. The two that I was the most disappointed in...Taylor Hicks and Reuben Studdard. The one I've been happiest with...Daughtry. In the future I will try singles out in Itunes before I buy the whole album.
