I was at a town meeting last night for our Sesquesentennial celebration, only got to see about 15 minutes of Idol last night. I liked the last guy, the one taking care of his mother.

Fill me in, who else was good?????

i liked the guy who looked kinda like david cook and who was in the local cast of WICKED. the first chick with the press kit... ick.

xo

I'm with you on the kiss blower from Puerto Rico...Way over the top! I liked the David cooklike kid too but he may be too show tune-esque...

So the kiss blower must be the one my sister called the "conceited twit from Puerto Rico ". I'll have to watch for her in Hollywood week.

did I hear it right last night -- that only 12 made it from San Francisco?

I wasn't too impressed with what I saw from SF. Nobody stood out to me and even the goof balls were kind of boring. For me, the night was all about how Kara is really grating on me. She's drama and I'm frankly tired of all the attention on AI going to judges...they just interrupt the show sometimes, you know. Especially later on.

I have an office about a half mile away from the Cow Palace where auditions were held, so it was kind of weird to see the clips from there.

Kentucky was OK, they got a few good ones, but nobody stood out as a "There's a top 5er", to me anyway. I liked seeing the pictures of the horses more. At least I got in a good night on the treadmill.

Caught Kentucky on Tivo. I wasn't impressed by much except for the segment about that scary dude who made the so-called threat against the judges.

ARE THESE IDIOTS SERIOUS?

That just showcases just how out of touch these pamper celebrities are. People -- real people -- say "be careful" all the time and for them to take it as a threat just goes to show how far from reality they are.

I'm so sick of the judges on AI.

I haven't watched the Kentucky one yet but, I saw the previews for it when I watched the San Fran. episode. I didn't think that there was too much good from San Fran. I'll check out Kentucky today maybe.

Nothing really jumped out at me this week... apart from the continued stomach-churning antics of the 2 cougars.

Cougar - (Noun) A 35+ year old female who is on the "hunt" for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. The cougar can frequently be seen in a padded bra, cleavage exposed, propped up against a swanky bar in San Francisco (or other cities) waiting, watching, calculating; gearing up to sink her claws into an innocent young and strapping buck who happens to cross her path. "Man is cougar's number one prey"

need I say more?

"Whoa-oa here she comes, watch out boy, she'll chew you up,
Whoa-oa here she comes - she's a Maneater..........." !!!!!!!!!!!!

:))

lol, yes ... I agree cheesy
I can't recall any acts that stood out for me. Bummer! Hopefully next week will be better!

The funniest thing from the Kentucky audition was the very 1st girl. The one in the black and white polka dot outfit with the fuzzy blond hair. I laughed so hard when she walked out and was throwing a fit after she had said she would walk out with a positive attitude if she didn't make it through. When she started singing to "prove" that she was the best singer I was watching her mom bob her head like she was really feeling the lyrics and into the song. Like it was good! That cracked me up! I didn't think that that guy with the last name Mudd was making a threat towards them at all and the guy that was the super nerd who drank out of Paula's straw was funny too. I hate it though when Paula and now Kara get all jumpy and do stupid stuff like throw their hands up and fly back into their seats when someone who can't sing tries to really belt out a song. It's so over the top and childish and it really annoys me. I like when Simon smiles though and he really likes someone. It's like the Grinch when his heart grew and he returned all of the gifts and celebrated with the Who's!

Oh, you mean Paula and Kara -- those washed up old flea bags who encourage young girls to "dirty" themselves up if they want to be a star?

I don't particularly like the way Paula is looking at me through the TV this year...It's frankly making me uncomfortable...

I should have known I couldn't stay away from it until Hollywood. Does it seem like the judges are meaner than ever this year? And the contestants worse? lol. Can't wait until Hollywood.

snowberry (who thanks Jesus that Michelle Kwan is training for a return, possible Olympics Vancouver. Yay. US figure skating needs her desperately)

I think the judges are meaner. And Kara for being new.....someone needs to put her in her place. Did they add her to add something to the judging or to stir things up? Is this the last week for auditions?
