COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 304 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO NOVEMBER 2020: 279 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO THE BERS 2020: 218 DAYS

Happy Final Week of January! This is the final week of the 1st month of 2020. Already huh? Let's try to have a good one shall we? Our countdowns look like this on Monday: 304 days until Thanksgiving; 279 days until November; and 218 days until the Bers. That's how they look to start off the final week of January. All 3 look pretty good for still being early in the part of the year. But they all will only look better and better as we continue through the next several months. Looks like we have a dry week forecast this week until next weekend when we might see a storm. What kind of storm? They aren't sure yet. It could be rain or it could be snow. Or maybe it could just rain/snow turkey gravy? Now that would be a dream come true. I'd be outside with my mouth open then. Have a great Final Week of January!

COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 303 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO NOVEMBER 2020: 278 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO THE BERS 2020: 217 DAYS

Happy Nearing End of January! We have a quiet nearing end of January here with dry weather all of this week. But here in the Thanksgiving Countdown Thread it's never quiet. We have 303 days until Thanksgiving, 278 days until November, and 217 days until the Bers. Those are all loud and clear countdowns in my mind. And they all make their own statement with Friday being a monumental day here in the thread as we hit the 300 day marker for Thanksgiving. That will signal the end of all 300s countdowns until after Thanksgiving. Crazy. Just crazy. It's a little step to some but I know it's a big step to us. Of course, this week will be a Thursday poll week as it's my "turn" thanks to CW delivering last week again. I guess that I better start thinking of one soon. Only got 2 days to deliver it. I just hope everyone is having a great day today. Have a great Nearing End of January!

COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 302 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO NOVEMBER 2020: 277 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO THE BERS 2020: 216 DAYS

Happy Late January Mid-Week! Welcome to the middle of Superbowl Week. Let's take a look at our 3 super countdowns. Super Countdown #1 is 302 days until Thanksgiving. Super Countdown #2 is 277 days until November. Super Countdown #3 is 216 days until the Bers. Super! And in 2 days we'll reach the #300 to Thanksgiving. Extra super as we head into the 2s for all 3 countdowns. Unreal already. Get those 3s out of here. Let the 2s do their thing and then move on from there. Looks like I have to get a poll ready for tomorrow huh? I have a few ideas but I'll finalize it tonight. Could it involve turkeys, the parade, or something different? Well you will have to tune in on Thursday to find out. I hope you do because it's more fun when you participate in the poll. Have a great Late January Mid-Week!

COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 301 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO NOVEMBER 2020: 276 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO THE BERS 2020: 215 DAYS

Happy Next to Last Day of January! Wow only 2 days remain in this first full month of 2020. And this is the slowest month of the year. I think everyone would agree with that. Our Countdown today is brought to you by the poll which I will leave at the end. We have 301 days until Thanksgiving and 276 days until November. Finally, we have 215 days until the Bers. And yes tomorrow we hit the big 300 to Thanksgiving. WOW. And that will end January and also the 300s part of our countdowns FOREVER in this thread. It's also Thursday so I have to mention that Thanksgiving is now 43 weeks from today. I know you may say that's a long time (and it is) but we've already knocked off 9 weeks (yikes). Next Thursday will be DOUBLE DIGIT weeks since Thanksgiving. But for now let's take a look at our Bi-Weekly Thanksgiving Day Poll.

THURSDAY POLL: On Thanksgiving Day what do you have on your television?
A.) The Macy's Parade
B.) NFL Football
C.) Both A & B
D.) "Other"
For me? the answer is C. I watch the Macy's Parade and NFL Football basically the whole day. It's on at least. I don't sit there and watch it. But I'm curious if any of you choose D also and would like to tell me about any special show that you wind up watching on Thanksgiving morning (even if's a tradition of having the news on). Just curious. And please let us know. Have a great Next to Last Day of January!

Getting below 300 on any of the countdowns is always tremendously uplifting.

Once January goes in the books, i'm chasing three personal milestones; the 300 days till Christmas (February 29th, i believe), 1st day of Spring(March 19th), and lastly, the last week of April, which is when my Hobby Lobby starts putting Christmas stuff back out!

I'm also chasing the 'bers too. I do think i'm going to do something celebratory on day 200 of the 'bers, it will be something small, maybe i will just set my light up Jack O Lantern on my front porch, or hang up my scare crow that day!

For me the answer is C although I usually DVR the parade because cooking keeps from seeing the majority of it live . As a matter of fact I have been known to turn the parade on during the year when I’m missing the holidays .

For us it's A and D. We watch the parade, have the big meal, then sometime during the rest of the day we watch It's a Wonderful Life. But now that we've been traveling on Thanksgiving the last couple of years, that routine has been put on hold.

Football is always a must as the younger males in family won’t do without it. However, for parades, I shun Macy’s in favor of America’s Thanksgiving Parade out of Detroit since it’s in my neighborhood.

For us the answer is "B". Football is such a huge part of our Holiday routine, and really "Fall" in general. Even when the Hall of Fame game happens in August, it is just one more sign that the best times of the year is almost upon us!
