I need a vacation. Got the overwhelmed feeling today.

Maybe they're trying harder this year to recoup the losses from 2020.Wow that is just incredible. 6 months ahead of the holiday. Which i guess, is the same thing that happens in Hobby Lobby / Jo Ann Fabrics, etc.. The retail creep is really picking up steam for 2021!
I doubt China is still making much yet. It could be a rough time for Easter decor. Local Hallmark store said they have a minimal amount for Easter and spring merchandise.Maybe they're trying harder this year to recoup the losses from 2020.
Once counts get out of the 3's, I think that the time just flows easier! Christmas is my main countdown and part of the reason why I think January is such a slog is because the whole entire month is full of 3's in front of the countdown. We don't have any "bonus months" either to help things along like we had with Thanksgiving and Halloween.300 Days until November!
Tomorrow we're in the 2's.![]()
Oh yeah January has good stuff about it! I'm enjoying it so far!I can't believe I never noticed how many milestones there are in January, not just for the Thanksgiving count either but across all of the holiday threads. If I had started counting down years ago maybe I could have avoided so many of the Post-Christmas Blues.
Christmas time wear you down CW?I need a vacation. Got the overwhelmed feeling today.
Subway turkey club!I'm really at a crossroads for how to celebrate Tom Turkey Day #2. The obvious solution is to have a big dinner, right? But with my wife and I both attempting to diet and be healthier this year, I can't imagine wrecking it with a Thanksgiving-style dinner, so I'll have to get creative instead.
Maybe I'll put on one of the past Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades on YouTube and make us a few "lite" smoked turkey sandwiches. That actually does sound pretty delicious.
Yeah SS! January has to be the slowest month of the year...and yet it moves steadily that makes me always say hey let's enjoy the "slower" time of year. No rush to be moving forward too fast.January is going by great I think! Slow enough that we can enjoy "The Ride", but not so slow that it feels like we are stuck in the mud.
I really like the counts, it is comforting to see 2 out of the 3 counts down in the 200's. I'm with you Edge, I think the Thanksgiving count "needs" to stay into the 3's for a little while longer. I think part of the reason why February is such a fun month for me is because the month ends with reaching 300 days on the Christmas Countdown, and waking up the next day in March knowing you are finally down in the 2's, is just amazing.
I look forward to feeling the same thing here when we get there on Thanksgiving!
Did you ever go to a game in person before? This year the NHL opens their season in January. Hockey will entertain me for a few months.
*drools*Subway turkey club!
