D

Although the Macys and Philadephia parades could be doable since they are not that far and we could still be home in time for dinner.

We used to go to the HS football games when they played on Thanksgiving but they moved that game (always between the same 2 schools) to the end of Aug/beginning of Sept.

I would like to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade once. Maybe. I don't know. But being at home (or my mom's home) on Thanksgiving Day is a tradition. And I love everything about that day and really don't want to give it up. So it's D for me too.

D. for me. But if I had to choose one of the others, I would choose a football game and then the parade, but now that I have had many years of getting to stay in my own home, it would be hard to give that up!

I wondered if you meant Kane the wrestler, but I figured "no way". So now I have to ask, does your screen name here have anything to do with Edge the wrestler?

FYI - I've been a wrestling fan my entire life. My favorite wrestler was Shawn Michaels. I even got the same bicep tattoo that he has, when I turned 18 years old. It was the very first tattoo I got! Walked in the day of my birthday and sat right down and got the whole thing!
Yes it does. I used to watch it more back in the day. Not as much anymore.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 188
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 164
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 103

Happy Latter May! Oh yeah the latter part of May is here. And so are our 3 countdowns on this Friday morning. They are as follows: 188 days till Thanksgiving, 164 days till November, and 103 days till The Bers. That's right folks and you all know what Monday will be. It will be the 100 Day Marker Till The Bers & also our weekly countdown to Thanksgiving will reach halfway. That's pretty crazy I have to say. Maybe the biggest day thus far in this thread. But we have a weekend to enjoy first ahead of us after first going into a Friday. So no rush to get there but we do know that will be a big day here instead. Maybe we can all share Bers plans on Monday? And that include Thanksgiving plans...just a very early look at them. Might be fun just to give some thoughts as the world is definitely changing here back more towards some normalcy. And The Bers being mostly normal would be amazing after last year's semi-normal not quite normal! Have a great Latter May!

They lifted the mask mandate at my office yesterday. I couldn't believe it. I never thought they would ever do it. We have a CEO who fancies himself a doctor, every regulation / requirement from the beginning of the pandemic has been bass ackward to whatever the CDC / Governors have recommended.

The inside chatter is that ownership ordered him to do it. If that's the case, good for them. They talked in so many memos about "following the science", but then when he was pressed at the beginning of May about dropping the masks since most of our office staff is either fully vaccinated or has natural immunity, he always refused to negotiate the masks. Again, in my opinion he was fully politically motivated.

I bring up the masks thing because this is more and more of "my world" that is now slowly inching back to normal. I would have never believed that I would ever live to see this, unless I lived to be an old man of 75, 85 years old. I bring this up because I am more convinced now than ever, that our beloved Bers / Holiday Season may be as back to normal as we will ever get in this country.

TGIF!

It's just strange how the talk earlier in the year was we still would be doing a lot of this into 2022 and yet somehow in May all of a sudden we are starting to drop things suddenly. I'm all with following the science!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 187
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 163
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 102

Happy Pre-Memorial Day Weekend! We made it to a big one folks. But let's first look at our 3 countdowns shall we? We have 187 days till Thanksgiving. We have 163 days till November. We have 102 days till The Bers. Well why is this a big weekend you ask? Did Edge mess up because for a second he thought this was Memorial Day Weekend? No he didn't! This is a big weekend because we all know what happens on Monday here. We know the 100 Day Marker Till The Bers arrives (our next milestone). And we also know that we'll be halfway in our weekly countdown to Thanksgiving week. So yeah we are in great shape being here in the weekend getting to enjoy this one while we all know what's to come at the beginning of the new week. No reason to dread Monday all weekend. Not in this thread! Ok other than that it's time to start enjoying THIS weekend and living in the present. I guess this weekend is Halfway to the Weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving which our friend ballcoach always says how much he loves (and I do as well). Have a great Pre-Memorial Day Weekend!

You got that right, Edge- the weekend is great but I can't believe how much I am enjoying Mondays, the upcoming one is a big one and then Memorial Day! Looking forward to both as we move back towards Thanksgiving!

Yeah Monday will also be the Monday before a long 3 day holiday weekend...I always say that Monday is a lot easier when you know you have an extra big carrot at the end of the week to look forward to!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 186
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 162
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 101

Happy May Sunday! It's another Sunday folks and we move along here into the 2nd half of the weekend. It might be a hot one today as we may hit 90 degrees. Yikes. Glad I have my a/c and powerful fan here. Let's look at our 3 counts before the heat hits shall we? We have 186 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 162 days to go until November, and 101 days left until The Bers. That's 3 big countdowns. And yet they're not quite as big as they once were. Tomorrow is our next milestone folks. It's the biggest day so far in this thread. We will reach the 100 Day Marker Till The Bers. I don't know about you but that is when things always seem to shift to a more serious mode here. We also will have our own little Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week which will be amazing if you look at it. It will be a number that will be down to 50% of where we began basically. Yeah you will see it here tomorrow. Have a great May Sunday!

It just seems crazy that we are almost at 100 Days to The Bers. Like I have been wishing for this for a long time, but I guess with just everything going on, it hasn't "felt" like we are that far along. But now the nightmarish hot days are here, so I think it finally "feels" like the countdown is legit. I'm ready. BRING ON MONDAY :)

100 days to the Bers? I will take it.

I want to go back and follow up on a few things I missed earlier this week.

I would love, love, love to attend Macy's...just once. Other than that, give me a nice, warm cozy house filled with family and friends! To me...that is Thanksgiving. Plus, you can have the football game and the parade while you are at home!

Agreed!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 185

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 100

Happy 1 Week Till Memorial Day! Let's get right to the 3 counts this busy Monday folks. We have 185 days till Thanksgiving, 161 days till November, and 100 days till The Bers. MILESTONE DAY! Yes indeed we have reached the long awaited, all important 100 Day Marker Till The Bers! That is a BIG milestone. It's Monday so our weekly countdown? It's at 26 weeks till Thanksgiving Week. You notice that is EXACTLY halfway from 52 weeks right? Can you believe that folks? We have reached halfway to the most wonderful and special week of the year? We're at the top of the mountain and looking straight down now. Oh man. I am glad we have a full 2nd half to go though. We need it and it should be a lot of fun and special. Our next milestone is on Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #6! And that of course is the Halfway Till Thanksgiving special Tom Turkey Day. Woah. Then there will be no more "half-ways" folks left in this countdown. Ahhh! I'm excited. Let's enjoy this week folks. It's such a big one. Have a great 1 Week Till Memorial Day!

100 days until the bers!.jpg

SO HAPPY TO HAVE REACHED THIS DAY! And it feels like it comes just as people are getting more and more HOPE that their lives will finally go back to normal. I said that last year I felt that Christmas 20' was about hope, hope for the vaccines that were coming that would get life back to normal, and I feel like this season is seeing that hope delivered in the form of everything coming back - schools, offices, festivals, parades, etc. If the NFL can announce they will have full stadiums, I don't see why we can't see a full crowd for the Macy's parade!

Have a great Monday!
