Happy Final Day Of Spring! We have 3 countdowns above that we can't neglect this Saturday morning so let's get to them first shall we? We have 159 days left until Thanksgiving, 135 days left until November, and 74 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone is tomorrow folks so you want to be here for that as we welcome in the official start of summer. Pretty amazing how much I've enjoyed summer already and yet it hasn't even been here technically. We had such great weather this week it is hard to complain. I just hope on Thanksgiving we have great weather too even though I know it will be quite a bit cooler (and should be). With everything returning closer and closer to normal I wonder how the parade will look this year. Lots of people? I hope so. I know a lot of us talk about it. And it is just a sign of how great things are moving into the correct direction in time for the most wonderful time of the year (The Bers, November, & Thanksgiving). Have a great Final Day Of Spring!

Add Kohl's to the list of retailers closed on Thanksgiving Day. Wow.
Every time I check for Thanksgiving news it seems like a new retailer is added. I hope this list is absolutely huge by November.

So true, maybe after this last year, we are remembering to value and honor the important things, like people being with their family and friends, not discounts and buy one, get one. I know many of us use the sales wisely, but in the last few years I have felt that Black Friday started to resemble a competitive sport. I am happy to think that maybe we will all get to focus on those who are around us.
I think somehow, through everything that has happened, we are slowly going back to the way things "used to be" with retail stores and what not. I might be wrong, but around here, I can't see Walmart ever going back to 24 hours. And like you said, it seems like more and more are announcing that they will be closed on Thanksgiving. It hasn't been that way here since I was a small child!

Happy Summer Arrives! We are moving into Sunday now folks and the 2nd half of your weekend. This is my 9th and final day off of work (well until my July vacation at least). But let's talk about the 3 counts you came here to actually follow: 158 days till Thanksgiving, 134 days till November, and 73 days till The Bers. Happy Milestone Day folks! The Arrival of Summer is here and believe it or not this is the season that The Bers will begin in (of course late in the season but still that's amazing). Our next milestone? Well I'm glad you asked that question. It will happen on Thursday. It will be Tom Turkey Day #7! That will definitely be another great one as our friend Rich proposed this last autumn and it's become pretty popular here I think. And we'll celebrate that one with a special video from our friend CW Thanksgiving-style. That is something to look forward to through the early and middle part of the week ahead. For now we just should enjoy this Sunday. It is Father's Day so if you're a dad have a great one. Have a great Summer Arrives!

Tom Turkey Day!! I remember being giddy like a kid when I found out it was becoming an actual "thing" here. In many ways, @Rich inspired me to create Jack O Lantern Day. I always try to do a little something on Tom Turkey Day.

Happy First Day Of Summer! We are into a new season officially folks. Yes indeed. And we continue our 3 great countdowns as we begin a new week. They are as follows: 157 days till Thanksgiving, 133 days till November, and 72 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is on Thursday when we reach Tom Turkey Day #7! That will be another big one and CW will deliver a great video for us to honor that day. It's Monday folks so our weekly countdown to Thanksgiving is about to come up here as well. It stands at...22 weeks. We're at double 2's now. That's a big step isn't it? We have to hold on to these 20s for a little while still. They are starting to lower if you haven't noticed already. Now with it being summer the question is who is brave enough to open their oven in the heat of summer to cook all of us in the Thanksgiving Thread a great turkey? I mean I'm willing to eat some if someone cooks it. Thanksgiving Thoughts definitely will get a little more fun/serious here during summer. Let's all enjoy them this time of the year.
