Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

Happy Final Week Of April! Another week is here folks and you know Mondays are special here. First let's look at our 3 daily countdowns. They are as follows: 213 days till Thanksgiving, 189 days till November, and 128 days till The Bers. So all 3 counts continue downward. Our next milestone is going to happen on Saturday when we reach the Arrival of May. It will be the 6th month starting up since the month of November. We'll be Halfway to November folks. Think about that. Yikes. Since it's Monday it's time for the Weekly Countdown to Thanksgiving Week (the best week of the year). Believe it or not folks today is a BIG ONE. It's 30 weeks until Thanksgiving Week. WOW! The 30s have been a fun ride. But they have gone too fast. I sure hope the 20s go a lot slower than that. Everyone here is in the Thanksgiving spirit already though so it's great to be feeling it so early this year. Have a great Final Week Of April!​
 
WOW. Halfway to November is a big deal! And just a few days from now!

I had to double check the week count in the Halloween thread this morning, 22 weeks until October, I thought had to be wrong, but they are correct!
 
30 weeks until Thanksgiving week. YES! I'm really looking forward to it, but I sure am glad we still have them 30 weeks to go. I have a whole lotta living to get done between now and then.

You and me both. I want to repaint our foyer yet again LOL and the front door. I am thinking about moving the dinning room furniture and decor around. Lot of little projects I want to get done before fall so I can enjoy the BERS.

It does not seem real, only 128 days until the Bers. I have seen these months fly by and I do enjoy them very much.

I have been trying to have a dry run with fixing Thanksgiving dinner with my family for the past 2 weeks. However, life happens. Hopefully this week it will happen.
 
Love the Monday count, and hitting 30 today is a big boost and makes my Mondays so much brighter! First we had Rudolph Eve and Rudolph Day over the weekend and now we have 30 weeks until the start of the best week of the year!

Happy Nearing End Of April! It seems everyone really enjoyed the Weekly Countdown yesterday. Pretty exciting. I also notice everyone zoning in on The Bers count which has dropped significantly. Well let's look at the 3 to begin with: 212 days till Thanksgiving, 188 days till November, and 127 days till The Bers. Our next milestone will arrive on Saturday with the arrival of May. That will begin the 6th month since November which will be starting up. Isn't that awesome and exciting? It always seems like something fun is coming up in this thread doesn't it? No wonder we're always enjoying it here. Well for now we should enjoy today. It's supposed to be a nice day here and I for one am glad we have a lot of nice and sunny days ahead of us. I hope you all are enjoying some nice weather where you are as well here in the spring. Have a great Nearing End Of April!​
 
So last Thanksgiving, like most gamers in the USA, tried to get a new Xbox. It wasn't happening. Every time I would get ready to click the "buy" button, it would immediately update and say "Sold out". This was my story for six months.

YESTERDAY, I finally was able to buy one. I got the confirmation, and this morning got the tracking number. It's on its way from Kansas, and should be here by THURSDAY lol.

Why mention this in the Thanksgiving thread? Because growing up, Thanksgiving days at our house always included lots of Xbox games and friends coming over to play games with my brother and I. I remember Thanksgiving 2006 when we got the Xbox 360 when it first came out. Then a few years later on Thanksgiving 2013 I was able to get an Xbox One through Walmart's pre-order system (Where were you LAST YEAR lol). It's not Thanksgiving day, but it sure will feel like a Thanksgiving memory when I open up that box on Thursday!

Happy Believing In April! Another step in the month of April is here. And we look at the 3 counts and how they have been affected by that step. We have 211 days till Thanksgiving, 187 days till November, and 126 days till The Bers. Our next milestone? Why it would be on Saturday when we welcome in the Arrival of May. It will be the Halfway to November Marker as we start up the 6th month since November was here. That's pretty incredible if you ask me. It should be a fun time and a fun milestone for sure. But tomorrow folks? We have our friend CW who will be coming here to post for us a great video as he does bi-weekly. He always delivers a great one for us so you do not want to miss it. Be here for it. I hope everyone is enjoying their late April while thinking and dreaming of turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and biscuits. Yum just made myself hungry. Tomorrow is sure going to be a special Thursday for me! I hope I get some of that Thanksgiving magic when I open that box and hook up my new Xbox. My brother is not in the area anymore, he lives far away, but I'm going to send him a text tomorrow! I'm sure he got his system months ago, he always had a way of being able to find the deals early! My second and final vaccination is today. I'm so glad to have it behind me, and playing on the new console tomorrow will sure be a reward of sorts! Have a great day!

Series X or S? I've been toying around with the idea of picking up a Series S just for GamePass. It's a pretty amazing value for $14.99/month.

The last Xbox I owned was a 360. I skipped the One generation entirely, so I have a lot of catching up to do.
