Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

Happy Saturday! You know, now that we are past the halfway point to Thanksgiving, it just feels like the days are melting away. We have a break in the weather the next couple of days, today is only gonna be 55 degrees, and tonight is in the 40's. Tomorrow is gonna be the same way. And it really does make me think of that time of the year! The heat is coming back though by the middle of next week, and I sure will miss days like this!

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 156
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 95

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! It's a big holiday weekend folks. This is one of my favorites of the whole year because it welcomes in summer time really and starts our road back to The Bers. Now our 3 countdowns are as follows: 180 days till Thanksgiving, 156 days till November, and 95 days till The Bers. That's the 3 counts at this point. You see them up above. And our next milestone will be on Tuesday which will be the celebration of the Arrival Of June. That will begin the 7th month on our road back to November. That's incredible. And the 3 month summer road will begin on that day. We all know it. Those are the 3 main months we think of when we think of summer time. Vacations are ahead of us and lots of fun stuff. And all along we'll be having fun here dreaming all summer of The Bers ahead of us. And that will lead us to Autumn and (eventually) Thanksgiving. Yeah folks the counts are now more serious. So let's enjoy each step starting with today. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!​
 
May has been full of wonderful milestones and hitting the weekly halfway point was a huge boost for me! I am looking forward to June and warmer weather but did want to take a minute to give a shout out to May!

Happy Next To Last Day Of May! It was quite a chilly (even downright cold) day on Saturday. Our local weather guy said it was a normal high temperature for get this folks...Thanksgiving. Of course I thought of all of you. And as much as I love Thanksgiving and the chill feels right then it doesn't feel right now! But these 3 counts do feel right to me: 179 days till Thanksgiving, 155 days till November, and 94 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is on Tuesday when we welcome in the month of June. That will be a big turning point as we begin that 3 month summer stretch back to The Bers. It's one we all better enjoy folks. I'm telling you it will go too fast and we'll be back in The Bers heading towards November and then Thanksgiving. Let the heat slow down summer if it actually warms up which it will looking at the forecast for June. Ok, now you all enjoy your day today ok? Have a great Next To Last Day Of May!​

I'm ready for the official kick off to The Bers! May was a great month that saw most of the country get to return to near-normalcy, and I really feel like June and July will continue our road to being all the way back, if not as close as we will ever be post-pandemic!

Happy Memorial Day! Yes, we do put "Happy" before it but of course it's a day to reflect and remember all of those who have fallen in the line of duty. We thank them and their families infinitely. Now when we look at our 3 counts on this Memorial Day we see the following statistics: 178 days till Thanksgiving, 154 days till November, and 93 days till The Bers. Our next milestone happens TOMORROW which will be the Arrival Of June which is the 7th month on our road back to November. May has been quite a month folks and I'm sad to see it end tonight but all great things have to end. And as I stated yesterday we now will enter the big 3 month summer road back to The Bers. I am ready for that summer road and hope the weather will cooperate. All of us here can go on that road together so please join me on that road as you have been on the road to this point already. Thank you for all being here and continuing to be. Have a great Memorial Day!​
 
A solemn day indeed but it is "Happy". I agree that May has been full of big milestones and fun days! I am looking forward to June and particularly the start of Christmas in July, but am going to enjoy today and honor those who gave their lives in the service of the United States.
 
My wife's grandfather (who passed away last year on July 4th) was a vet who served in the Marines. He will be at the front of our mind today. He passed away from cancer at age 90, but he was sharp and kept his wits about him up to the very end. A good man and one that I regret not getting to know better.

I often think of how important it is to honor those who served, especially those of the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam war, they just didn't get the gratitude we give our troops now.

Happy Welcome To June! We made it to the 3 month summer stretch folks. That's how many of us look at it now. And it's going to be a heck of a ride as we take a long summer ride back to The Bers. Our 3 counts on this first day of June looks as follows: 177 days till Thanksgiving, 153 days till November, and 92 days till The Bers. Believe it or not it is a MILESTONE DAY today as we do indeed welcome in the month of June which is the 7th month on our journey back to November. Crazy times isn't it? Our next milestone happens on Friday folks. What is it? Well it's in 3 days so I'll give you that hint. Now look above and see if you can figure it out. Got it yet? Yes, it is indeed the 150 Day Marker Till November. That is going to be a big milestone isn't it? We then will be halfway from 200 to 100. Wow that will be a big one indeed and a great way to start off our Friday. Ok so now we all had a great 3 day weekend hopefully and it's time to get back to the grind. @Edge612 , I just sort of "borrowed" a page out of your book, talking about special days in the Halloween thread, and asking how it made us feel. Hope you don't mind! But the Summer Solstice was on my heart this morning now that we are officially in June.

150 Days to November? I feel like eating a turkey!
 
With us getting closer and closer to Fall, we should start seeing some legitimate parade news soon, or at least that's the hope.

And it's crazy that we'll already be at 150 days til November on Friday. It seems like both of our counts just entered the 100s not that long ago!
 
May was great, but I am happy to see June and to enter into the three months of summertime. It is exciting to hit 150 on Friday and I am sure June will give us other fun days to look forward to and celebrate! Welcome June.
