We're all like that here at heart CW!"A" or anytime of the year I think about taters and stuffing covered in steaming gravy with sweetcorn mingling in the mix.

Same here! It's why Thanksgiving Night before I go to bed I start next year's thread. This is a year-round Thanksgiving Fan Club!I have to go with C, but like CW said, I find Thanksgiving on my mind during the whole year.
I was going to put C. That it hits me as soon as I wake up on November 1st and turn the calendar! It's C for me also. I have already felt it's getting closer. But the day after Halloween will be a real eye opener. Better get ready!
Its funny you should say that. 2 friends that live in Idaho sent me a pic last night of eggnog in their local store. I used to spend so much time out there elk hunting my family did think I moved there..lol!I think you need to move west. Not only are there two or three kinds of eggnog on the shelves, including in Halloween packaging, but for the first time ever, last week when I went to the store, there was eggnog made with almond milk.
Almost. Alllllllllllllllllmost. But I have kids, so the joy of seeing their faces on Christmas morning when they open presents is what seals the deal for me.DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 42
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 19
Happy October Teens! Today folks we have 42 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 19 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be the Home Stretch Till November. It will be coming soon. But not that soon. It’s still 9 days away. It’s Thursday folks and our new thing here is our “Thanksgiving Thought Thursday.” Here we go folks. Are you ready? Today’s is going to be an interesting one but I will bring up this thought.
Thanksgiving Thought Thursday: Is there a better morning of the year to wake up on than Thanksgiving morning?
The immediate response would be well Christmas is #1. Ehhhhh not so fast. Waking up on Thanksgiving morning is better I think. Because it’s the beginning of the season which we talked about. For us also, I think the food is better on Thanksgiving for sure. That’s my favorite meal now. And I just think there’s nothing better than Thanksgiving morning. There’s some other good ones like Halloween, Christmas Eve, and Easter Sunday. What do you think? Feel free to participate in our weekly “Thanksgiving Thought Thursday.” Now for all you turkey fans realize we move into the 2nd half of our “Awesome Autumn”. 6 weeks are behind us and now we begin the next 6 weeks today. Wow halfway. But the 2nd half is still to go. Have a great October Teens!
Elk hunt just ended here. Both my brother-in-law and nephew-in-law had licenses. They didn't get anything. My sister doesn't love elk so she joked that she prayed harder for them not to get a elk than they did to get one. The funny thing is they have mountain property where the elk are plentiful and they see them all summer, but they drew out for elk in a different area. You are going to think that I am weird, but I don't think there is a much more eloquent sound than bull elk bugling. My dad was a big hunter and he had a deer rack mounted over his sofa that I could barely stretch my arms across the span. He was offered an obscene amount of money for it from a non-successful hunter from California. He refused. I told him if he would leave the house for a few hours and the man ended up with the trophy it wasn't me. He didn't enjoy my humor. Its funny you should say that. 2 friends that live in Idaho sent me a pic last night of eggnog in their local store. turkey melt sounds so good!Happy Thursday everyone! I have managed to keep out of the garage except for a tire fix on my truck yesterday. Somehow I found a nail on the road. My Butterball hunt didnt go good yesterday due to the age of what was out. Might be a good day for a turkey melt.
It's like choosing between your 2 kids...impossible.I don't think I can choose between Thanksgiving morning and Christmas morning. I love them both but for different reasons. I love Thanksgiving because it is kind of the official the official start of Christmas.
Yup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's like choosing between your 2 kids...impossible.
I know I'm crazy, but I honestly wished Christmas "stopped" in the morning after everyone opens gifts, has breakfast, etc... I think the absolute only "bad" part of Christmas is that evening, which we have talked about many times.Almost. Alllllllllllllllllmost. But I have kids, so the joy of seeing their faces on Christmas morning when they open presents is what seals the deal for me.
Now, best day overall? It might be Thanksgiving. Maybe. I lean more towards Thanksgiving every year.
Lol..I have a mule deer like that. He almost takes up as much room as a moose head.Elk hunt just ended here. Both my brother-in-law and nephew-in-law had licenses. They didn't get anything. The only negative is if you are forced to view Macy Parade when Verizon is hosting it!I know I'm crazy, but I honestly wished Christmas "stopped" in the morning after everyone opens gifts, has breakfast, etc... I think the absolute only "bad" part of Christmas is that evening, which we have talked about many times.
I do not get that vibe at all on the other Holidays. Halloween I am not disappointed in the least when it ends, because the excitement of Christmas season is here, and in my mind, Halloween and spooky season is "resting" until after the holidays are over and then our excitement and hunt for the big 3 again is re-ignited in January.
When Thanksgiving is over, there's just a tiny bit of being "down", but honestly it isn't much because Christmas season then being here is like a huge shot in the arm, and honestly, it's just so hard to be sad / worried about ANYTHING during Christmas season. But i'm gonna agree with you and say that overall, I think the entire day of Thanksgiving is just a peaceful happy day, there's never any part of it that is negative!
