DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 148
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 126
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 65

Happy Humid Hump Day! Today folks we have 148 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 126 days left until November, and 65 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will take place on Saturday. It will be the Arrival of July and the 2nd half of the year. Well today folks we do a poll about the 2nd half of the year vs. the 1st half of it!

Which half of the year is better?

  • 1st half of the year.
  • 2nd half of the year.
  • They’re both equal.
  • Is this really a poll question? The 2nd half of the year blows away the 1st half.
  • D…although I do like many things about the 1st half of the year I always say that 90% of the best stuff falls in the 2nd half of the year (50%). Now turkey fans we move ahead in our Summer Sweatfest with our poll to answer. And then a good day of mid-week stuff today. And thanks for being here and hopefully you all have a great day today in the middle of the week with turkey thoughts in your head. Have a great Humid Hump Day!

I have to go with "D". The first half of the year is nearly brutal compared to the second half. You have the whole post-christmas funk / PCB's, no major holidays other than Easter & Memorial Day. Leon Day cheers you up in June and sort of sets the stage for the continuous march forward of Holidays and Happy Times - July 4th in July and Summer's peak time, Fall Pre-Season in August, The Bers are back in September, Spooky Season and Halloween in October, Christmas Season starts and Thanksgiving in November, and then the Granddaddy of them all, Christmas in December. You don't get a lineup like that the first half of the year!

Have a great day!

"D", for sure. The second half of the year is where it's at. Fourth of July, The Bers, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, college football, NFL football, Hockey begins, basketball begins, World Series of baseball, all the decorations, all the lights. The second half of the year is the best.

I think we need to give @Edge612 some more poll question ideas. It looks like he may have run out. I've only given him about 5-6 over the last two years, but he comes up with them year-round. I appreciate the way he keeps our thoughts on Thanksgiving all year long.

The answer is obvious this week: D for sure! From the very beginning the second half of the year is just jam-packed with fun, awesome stuff. July 4th happens right out the gate, then we move into the 50 Day Preview of the Bers, then you blink and it's the Fall Preseason. Then it's the Bers. Then more good stuff. It's like the gift that keeps on giving!

I am going with B, because obviously the 2nd half of the year is the best but I am working on enjoying more of the 1st half too-- so I am going to shout out for New Years, Groundhogs, Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter, Birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and the Summer Solstice!

Always "D"...I could sleep away the 1st half. Its Weds and with it arrived the Canadian smoke again. Lol...this is getting old. Funny bit of info from the friend that runs a Black bear guide service..the fires have moved the grizzly's south and they are eatting up the black bears food along with the black bears also. He said this will take 10 yrs to fix due to the brown bears wont go back.

That is so sad!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 147
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 125
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 64

Happy Next To Last Day Of June! Today folks we have 147 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 125 days to go until November, and 64 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Saturday when July Arrives. Not only a new month folks but a new HALF. And there’s only two halves. And the half that the majority of us love the most is coming. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with Thanksgiving Thought Thursday, of course!

4th of July is coming next week and it really is an awesome day. I think it’s the most similar day to Thanksgiving. I know some will say Christmas, but to me, they are total opposites. And Christmas Eve is unique to itself. The traditions, BBQ vs. turkey dinner, fireworks vs. Macy’s parade, baseball vs. football, hot weather vs. cold weather, etc. They are similar in an opposite way.

Now turkey fans I hope your week is going well so far with Thursday coming up next. And I hope it will be a good one for all of you and an enjoyable day for one and for all. Enjoy it my friends. And do the best you can today to enjoy this late June day ok? Summer Sweatfest Style. Have a great Next To Last Day Of June!

I never thought about July 4th being similar to Thanksgiving. That's actually a good comparison. However, they're so opposite that you don't ever really associate the two.

To me, Easter is the holiday that feels the most like Thanksgiving, but that's because of the similarities and not the differences. Sadly, Easter doesn't have an equivalent to the Macy's parade or afternoon football, but it does have church and an egg hunt! Although, now that I think about it, maybe Easter has more in common with Christmas.

I love the 4th of July, I love Easter, I love Thanksgiving and it goes without saying, Christmas and Christmas Eve. Because each involves a celebration, they are similar in that way and that they involve family and friends and food. They also each involve traditions. But most of them have more differences than similarities. Except Easter and Christmas. Because of the spiritual component of those two and the relationship between the two, Christmas and Easter are the most closely related to me.

Similar yet opposite!
