I'm having a hard time choosing between September and November. I feel like September doesn't get its due because you have Labor Day at the very beginning of the month, and the rest of the month is more or less normal. Kids are still in school (or starting back, depending on where you live), and not many people really give September a second thought.
On the other hand, November often gets overshadowed by the Christmas season, and I think outside of us crazies here at MMC, most people probably don't share the same excitement that we do for Thanksgiving Week. November as a stand-alone month is fantastic. The weather is gorgeous, and the stores haven't yet been overrun by stampeding deal-hunters (although that changes during the last week of the month).
I think I'll give the nod to September. As "the sweet spot," it's really an unappreciated month in the Bers, but it gives us the chance to settle in and prepare for all the great things that lie ahead.
