Happy February Fury! Today folks we look at our counts and see 287 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 265 days left until November, and 204 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be when we reach the 200-Day Marker Till The Bers. It will happen on Monday. And we move ahead in our Winter Wonderland with still 0 signs of any real snow in our upcoming forecast. Amazing. The Winterless Winter (thus far). But it beats some of the brutal winters we’ve had before. We’ll see how it continues. But right now let’s get to our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday (the highlight of the week in this thread)!
I probably have more Thanksgiving “Moments” during the year than most people do. Do you ever have them? Like everyone knows when they hear someone randomly during the year mention December 24th you think Christmas Eve. But only someone like me would know that yesterday when I saw an email from someone saying “Wednesday November 23” that automatically I said to them that was the day before Thanksgiving! A lot of people wouldn’t even connect with that. But I have those moments sometimes. More than most people. I guess that’s why I do this thread!
Well turkey fans that’s all I can tell you is that many people during the year have Christmas Moments but not as many have Thanksgiving Moments. But I’m glad to be able to share them with you here when I do. Have a great February Fury!

You're not the only one that sees dates on emails, etc., and starts thinking of the Holidays. Just yesterday I saw some dates that were in May, and I started thinking to myself "oh man, MAY, that's the month that the "Road" to The Bers is open!".
It's extra special to see dates in "The Bers". I haven't yet saw any November dates but I'm sure it's coming. I love having Thanksgiving thoughts all through the year.

This is me. Anytime I see or hear a particular date, I always associate it with its proximity to the holidays. I do it so much that it's ingrained in my subconscious now.
In recent years my thoughts around Thanksgiving have really ramped up, in part because I think I have always underrated Thanksgiving in my mind when compared to Christmas. But now that I've got a few years at MMC under my belt and have been hanging out with you wonderful people in this thread, I can see how special of a holiday Thanksgiving really is. That goes for the entire month of November as well. It's second in excitement levels only to the Christmas season.
I'm gonna do it when I have my Mini-Thanksgiving this month!

And what will it be? It will be the 200-Day Marker Till The Bers. That will be a big turning point for all of us. But never fear we have our 3-day break now in this thread where we go low-key. I love our long weekends here. Well I even love them in our Winter Wonderland although we have no winter here this year really. We have had a few brutally cold days but they have been outnumbered (by far) by the above average/mild and even occasionally downright warm days. We’ll see if that continues through February or not. For all you turkey fans though I know you miss our Awesome Autumn. But hey let’s enjoy this Winter Wonderland. It’s all in front of us folks. That’s what I’m going to say here until we leave the Winter Wonderland which is still a long ways off but that’s good too. We have spring, summer, fall, and the holiday season all in front of us. What more could you really ask for? The longer we keep it in front of us the more time we have to get ready for it, build to it and get excited for it. Keep it all real turkey friends and family. You are all the best and I hope you have some fun Superbowl plans this weekend which is like the Thanksgiving (or Christmas) of the football season. Have a great Double Digits February!

It feels like a Holiday weekend for sure! We are having a Super Bowl potluck today at work, which always stirs up Holiday feelings, since we usually only do them around Halloween and Thanksgiving. Plus we are getting to wear jerseys to work if we want, so that makes me happy as well.
On a more somber note, I guess Sunday is the "end" of the very last holdover that we had from The Bers and Holiday Season. Thank goodnessSpooky Spring is right around the corner!

The holiday-ish feels have kicked in, going to do some extra cleaning and odds and ends tomorrow so I can enjoy a quiet morning on Sunday and start all the food prep and think about other mornings of fun ahead!
I think February 28th is really the "last" you can hang on to anything holiday season/Bers related. But you're right a huge chunk is taken out of it when the football season ends!
Sunday is a fun day for a lot of people!
