Man, you know what sounds great? A breakfast Thanksgiving. Maybe instead of turkey I could do some turkey sausage, along with biscuits, gravy, some kind of egg casserole dish, pumpkin pancakes for dessert...my, oh my. I'm taking this idea and running with it. But then is it really a "breakfast Thanksgiving" or just a big breakfast at that point? I'll let y'all decide, but it sounds delicious either way!
Sounds great!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 281
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 259
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 198

Happy 2nd Half Of February! Today folks we have 281 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 259 days to go until November, and 198 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone(s) will be back to back with the duo of Tom Turkey Day #3 which will be a week from Thursday followed the very next day by the 250-Day Marker Till November. Well that will be another big back to backer. And we move along in our Winter Wonderland with the warm temps continuing (feels like spring) with our weekly poll here on this Wednesday! An interesting one this week or at least I think so!

Which combination is better: Thanksgiving Eve/Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving Day/Christmas Day?

  • Thanksgiving Eve/Christmas Eve.
  • Thanksgiving Day/Christmas Day.
  • They are both equal.
  • I honestly can’t decide because I never gave this thought before.
  • I thought about this poll yesterday folks and it really was one I never thought of so I could choose D. But…I don’t want to pick that and not give an answer so I’m going to say C. Now the initial answer for most people would be B I think. A guy like me it actually would probably be A (I’m all about the anticipation/build) but I honestly think it’s harder to pick the more you think about it so I go with C. They’re both equal. We never combine those 2 Eve’s together or Day’s. It makes for an interesting poll. Keep enjoying your week turkey fans. Have a great 2nd Half Of February!

I thought about this one a lot, and I honestly think that I have to go with "A". My reasonings are that I could not choose "B" because I think there is that small amount of "negativity" associated with Christmas Evening when the realization is setting in that everything is "over". You don't have any of that with Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving Eve. Totally different feelings, IMO.

Have a great day!

I know my answer is B. But my simple test does not work here. The test is "Which one could you live without?". That will usually give me my answer. But in this situation, if there is no Thanksgiving Day/Christmas Day, then there is no Thanksgiving Eve/Christmas Eve. Despite all that, I already know that I enjoy the actual holidays themselves the most.

I will say B. You can't have the days without the eve and Thanksgiving is my top one day holiday.

The perfect combo for me is Thanksgiving Day/Christmas Eve but that was not an option. I am just glad to celebrate all four each year.
I would've chosen that combo as well.

But, since it's not an official poll option, I'll have to make the hard choice and go with B. I love the Eves, but I can't give up the actual holidays themselves.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 280
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 258
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 197

Happy Spring In Winter! Today folks we have 280 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 258 days left until November, and 197 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestones will be back to back ones when we reach 1 week from now at the Tom Turkey Day #3 followed the very next day by the 250-Day Marker Till November. Both will be big back to back. And they will both be awesome. And I’m looking forward to them. But right now here in our Winter Wonderland (which is getting so warm now it’s feeling like hardcore spring) we talk about our favorite thing of the week in this thread and that is our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

Mini Thanksgiving has been talked a lot in this thread lately. Well I want to take this opportunity to say I really don’t know why I’ve never done it before. But I’m so pumped to do it in March this year for the first time ever. And I honestly don’t know how I’ll feel about it. I mean it will be great but we’re trying to find the balance of making it feel like Thanksgiving without going too far. Ya know? And I really honestly am wondering how it will feel.

It’s something I have been craving to have soon and I look forward to it coming in March. I’m really curious how it will go for us. Now for all you turkey fans wondering if it’s spring or winter just remember it still is winter. Turkeys are not ready for spring yet even if we are. Have a great Spring In Winter!

Gotta go with A. Those are the calms before the storms. Great storms, obviously, but they tend to be a bit more frantic with cooking, etc.. The eves tend to be calmer and focused on board games and chilling out.

Well, our mini Thanksgiving is happening on Sunday. Turkey is defrosting in the fridge as we speak. Making some pies on Saturday. It's happening. Can take pics if anyone likes. I mean, when it's made, of course. A defrosting turkey would make a boring pic. Though I COULD make that happen!
