• Operation Christmas Cheer
Spring like weather continues here! This coming weekend will be closer to "Thanksgiving" weather as it will only be in the 50's and it will be a little over cast.

I like days like that that kind of "Feel like" the Holiday. Fall / Bers / Halloween we sort of think of mildly warm days but then cool nights. Thanksgiving we think of just a chilly, but not quite "cold" day. And of course Christmas we think of cold and snow, but that doesn't happen very much here lol.

Have a great day!

Sunday's mini Thanksgiving was a big success. Stuffed myself silly and have plenty of leftovers for sandwiches, soup, turkey pie, etc... I even put out the Thanksgiving tablecloth and a few decorations. Hopefully this will become "a thing" for next year.

Some strong fall vibes tonight. The wind is blowing outside and the street light is making “Halloween shadows” from the dancing branches. And The Empire Strikes Back is on TV tonight. Lots of feels! This could easily be Thanksgiving week!

Taking a bit of a different approach with picture Tuesday this week. One of the exciting things about being in the Thanksgiving offseason is that we get to eagerly anticipate the Thanksgiving Day football schedule!

Are those official? I know it's not announced till April but maybe thought they tipped their schedule some early!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 274
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 252
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 191

Happy Winter Wednesday! Today folks we move ahead and see 274 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 252 days to go until November, and 191 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will be tomorrow and the day after that. Thursday we’ll celebrate Tom Turkey Day # 3 and Friday we’ll celebrate the 250-Day Marker Till November. We move ahead in our Winter Wonderland portion of this thread with another Winter Wednesday Weekly Poll!

When it comes to Thanksgiving Week which sums up your normal work week?
  • I’m off the whole week normally.
  • I’m off Thursday through Sunday.
  • I take off Thanksgiving Eve through Sunday.
  • I’m off Thanksgiving, of course, but I have to work Black Friday.
  • I don’t even get Thanksgiving Day off!
For me it’s B. I have never taken off the day before Thanksgiving since I’ve been working. If you know me by now you know that I call it my “Favorite Work Day of the Year.” And it is. But I also respect those who love taking that day or the week off. But for me I stick with B because it works for me. I used to have to work on Black Friday at my last job. So I appreciate having that day off more than ever. Now if you are a turkey fan I hope you’re ready to enjoy and gobble your way through the middle of the week. Have a great Winter Wednesday!

I only have Thursday off for the holiday, but I'll take the other 4 days off as PTO to have a long week off. I don't usually take a whole lot of time off between January and November, so that's the first extended time off for me in the year. Been doing that for at least 7 years.
