Happy Thanksgiving! It's Thanksgiving night folks. But it's not over yet. I hope you're still enjoying the remaining hours of Thanksgiving 2022. It's been an amazing one here. But many of us as we put our heads down on our pillows tonight will already dream of Thanksgiving 2023. Well we begin the build here 52-weeks before that day comes. And it starts off tonight. Below you'll find your 2023 Thanksgiving Milestones and the 2023 Time Periods (officially added this year). I'll be back to post before I go to sleep. But I wanted to get this up and running. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 364
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 342
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 281

Happy Thanksgiving! It's Thanksgiving night folks but here in this thread we're doing double duty. We did our 2022 countdown which was obviously 0 aka HAPPY THANKSGIVING. And now we're doing our 2023 countdown which stands with the following numbers: 364 days until Thanksgiving, 341 days until November and 280 days until The Bers. Our next milestone (well our FIRST milestone) is 1 week from today on Thursday when we welcome in December. At that time we will begin our 11-month journey back to the most wonderful month of the entire year which is November. Luckily we're still in November right now. We begin today our Happy Holidays period of the year. Amazing. The most wonderful time of year is here. It's Thanksgiving Thought Thursday (double duty also) so let's look below for this thread's first ever one!

I love Thanksgiving. I didn't pick up on it as fast as I did as a kid with Halloween or Christmas. Thanksgiving was "in the middle." A fun/nice day but I overlooked it when I was young. I think a lot of us did and still some people do until it arrives and you realize how amazing it really is and how it brings you into the holiday season. Thanksgiving - Overlooked but not by anyone here in this thread!

It's ok to be overlooked sometimes. And I think Thanksgiving being the "middle" of the Big 3 is definitely overlooked by some. Also it doesn't really have a full season like Halloween or Christmas. But Thanksgiving as we all know here is the absolute best. Have a great and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving truly is a holiday for grownups. Whereas Halloween and Christmas are geared more toward kids and brings out the child in each of us.

Weirdest. Thanksgiving. Ever. The weather was bad here in the afternoon, and we had just finished eating dinner when the power went out. We ended up leaving my grandmother-in-law's house early and coming back home, where we sat in perpetual darkness for another 1.5 hours until the power came back on.

It wasn't all bad, though. We played three rounds of "Charlie Brown Christmas Bingo," and I at least got to see the end of the Cowboys game (they won)!

And how about that parade? I really enjoyed it this year! A few of the performances were meh (who the heck is Blanco Black?), but it was otherwise a good showing. I missed Al Roker's hijinks, though. It wasn't the same without him riding around in a sidecar.

I love seeing the whole year mapped out like this! Gives me inspiration for the 2024 Halloween thread. I won't get a chance to map out the whole year again until next Halloween night, but I do like the idea of posting monthly what we have coming up for the month on the first day of each new month, so I'm going to borrow this, if you don't mind.

Our wonderful journey has began again! Thanks Edge for the new thread, it's going to be a fun ride counting down again!

Happy Thanksgiving night! Dinner went off without a hitch except for a deviled egg fiasco. My friend grabbed the hot pepper off the spice rack instead of the paprika, luckily we had enough time to make a quick 30 halves.... sigh.... had to take a nap today..as usual.

Another Thanksgiving is done. We had so much fun that this may have been the latest Thanksgiving festives we have done. It was a long fun evening of games. On to Christmas and the road to Thanksgiving 2023 has begun. Hope everyone had a great day.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 363
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 341
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 280

Happy Black Friday! Today folks we start off our brand fresh new thread with being back to 3 countdowns. We have 363 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 341 days to go until November, and 280 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone (which will also be our 1st milestone) is going to be the Arrival Of December which takes place on Thursday (in less than 1 week). It will begin us on our 11-month journey back to the most wonderful month of the year (November). Now you might say well Edge we are still in 2 out of our 3 counts above (November and The Bers). We are indeed. But as many have said “The Bers” for many of us is really from September 1 through Thanksgiving and then it’s really the holiday season (which granted is part of “The Bers”). But we like having that whole season to countdown to so we use all 3 counts starting now. Of course, as SS says with Halloween we get some “free time” now as we embark on our “Happy Holidays” portion of the year. It’s a great feeling folks. I hope you get to take it all in as I will try to do the same. I know our counts look insanely far away but I cherish these days when I can see that. Because we are in a wonderful time of year which Thanksgiving brought us to. And it’s fun to see the freshness of the counts. Seeing Thanksgiving in the 360s makes you laugh…but then again we laughed about it last year at this time and suddenly yesterday we found ourselves on Thanksgiving. Maybe we shouldn’t laugh this year! Have a great Black Friday!

So many leftovers, so little time! LOL! I plan on grazing all day but after dinner tonight I am going to bundle things up and set them aside for the weekend or the freezer. Tupperware/Rubbermaid know this and will tempt me with a Black Friday sale on a assorted pack that will make me think they have all the answers to my leftover needs! LOL! Have a great day!

Thanksgiving is over but I still get to enjoy the long Thanksgiving weekend which rolls in the Christmas season. This is definitely my favorite 6 day stretch including Wednesday and Monday. It is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and decorating for Christmas. I like to think of it as Thanksgiving extra.
