I'm going with A. Spring, Summer, Winter.
I really could do without winter. I hate being cold.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 336
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 314
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 253

Happy Christmas Eve Eve Eve! Today folks we have reached a milestone AGAIN. How is that possible? Well it is. But first let’s take a look at our counts: 336 days till Thanksgiving, 314 days till November, and 253 days till The Bers. Our milestone today folks is Tom Turkey Day #1! The first one of 11. And here we go again folks. Our next milestone? Believe it or not it falls on Christmas Day and is the 250-Day Marker Till The Bers. Wow. Another reason to celebrate Christmas. We move ahead in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread by now looking at the #1 feature of the week in this thread. What is it? Drum roll please. It’s Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

How do you compare (or not) the days leading up to Thanksgiving? Maybe the best way is to compare them to the days leading up to Christmas. Seriously. It feels very (very) similar. Even though back then we were approaching the beginning of the holiday season and now we’re approaching the culmination of it, well they still have the same feeling of excitement that no other weeks can compare with these 2 weeks.

The build for both holidays is unmatched. I’m glad we still are in the process of building to Christmas. It’s such a great and exciting feeling being where we are right now. Ok turkey fans think back (and ahead) to OUR build today to Thanksgiving. Gobble Gobble. Have a great Christmas Eve Eve Eve!

The man is an artist. The cable management was most impressive.
Lol..I gripe about our Polar Express train around 1 of the trees. The size of the track layout is huge. I programmed a Raspberry Pi to play all the songs in the movie after I found a single car in a 2nd hand shop. Mounted the Pi and 2 speakers inside the modified car. But this guy in the video is next level insane.

We all know that Autumn is #1 (it technically includes 90% of the Christmas Season in it too folks which is crazy). So my question to you is out of the next 3 seasons how would you rank them in order of your favorite to least favorite?

  • Spring, Summer, Winter
  • Summer, Winter, Spring
  • Winter, Spring, Summer
  • Spring, Winter, Summer
  • Summer, Spring, Winter
  • Winter, Summer, Spring
I'm going with C. Some of you might think I'm a crazy person, but it's all about location, location, location. Winters in Texas are mild, so we don't get the snow and ice that pervades the rest of the country. It's actually very pleasant. Spring is nice while it lasts, but it's SO short here. I'd honestly be surprised if we got more than a month of actual nice spring weather. And you all know already how I feel about summer...

Happy Tom Turkey Day #1! I don't have any turkey to celebrate with today, but we're having both turkey and ham at my parents' house for Christmas, so maybe I'll eat a little bit extra.

For today's Thursday Thanksgiving thought, I'd say for me personally that the days leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas are both my most anticipated days of the year, with the exception of the actual holidays themselves. The only difference for me is that the days leading to Christmas are tinged with a tiny bit of "loss" because we know that once Christmas is over, we're in for another long haul. A more favorable comparison for me, I think, would be the final week of August and the days leading up to September 1st in anticipation of arriving "home" in the Bers.

The days leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas have nearly the same feeling. Except right now there is that little voice in the back of my head saying "It's all coming to an end soon". Shut up little voice!

I agree with everyone else. It is about the same for me too, unfortunately the finality of the big three being over always is in the back of mind.

On a positive note I really enjoy the week between Christmas and New Year and finishing out the Bers. I know for some in here that is not the same unfortunately. It really helps me with Christmas being over. I Like to think of it as Christmas extra.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 335
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 313
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 252

Happy Christmas Eve Eve! Today folks we have 335 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 313 days until November, and 252 days until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Sunday. It happens to be Christmas Day. And it happens to be the 250-Day Marker Till The Bers. I’m looking forward to it as I know all of you are. We’ll be closer to 200 than 300 by then. We continue along our Happy Holidays portion of this thread right through today and right through the weekend (and even beyond). And we’re happy about it. Nothing else to worry about right now turkey fans. I was looking at some article yesterday about “Why we love Thanksgiving so much”. I was going to say who wrote this someone in this thread? And folks we had a great week here being busy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but now we have our 3-day weekend in this thread with nothing special other than some fun and quiet times here in this countdown. Best wishes to Coach and the family who have been sick lately. Hope they are doing as well as possible for Christmas Eve/Day which are still in front of us. Now turkey fans do all the best you can to take in this last and final day before things get crazy. And I do mean CRAZY as you know folks. It’s almost time and it’s almost here and I’m glad we’re ab out there now. Have a great Christmas Eve Eve!

I'm surprised...thought more people disliked summer more than winter.
Anyway, it's going to FEEL like Christmas this year...one of the coldest we've had in decades!
Yes a lot of us got our wish, but we were just hoping it wouldn't be like the "normal" Christmases here where it is 50 and 60 degrees. Right now Christmas Day is supposed to be 30 degrees here, which somehow feels "just" Christmasey. I am glad today was not Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, because the weather is brutal and miserable.
