DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 267
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 245
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 184

Happy March Arrives! Today folks we have 267 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 245 days to go until November and 184 days left until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day folks as we welcome in the Arrival Of March! We begin the start of our 4th month on our 11-month road back to November. We move ahead into the start of a new month STILL in our Winter Wonderland for these next 16 days. No rush. Our next milestone will be the 250-Day Marker in 2.5 weeks roughly to Thanksgiving. Wow. Then we’ll be seriously as close to 200 than we are to 300. Now it’s Wednesday so here is our Weekly Wednesday Poll!

How does Thanksgiving Preparation compare to Christmas?

  • Not even close Christmas has way more involved.
  • Not even close Thanksgiving has way more involved.
  • The preparation is a lot for both but about equal.
  • There isn’t much preparation for either one of them.
  • I don’t think anyone will pick D but I have to say I’m going with A. And that’s not to say there isn’t some preparation for Thanksgiving but with the family visits, gift buying, wrapping, etc. during the holiday season it’s overwhelming. That’s actually one reason I love Thanksgiving for how simple it is. What about you turkey lovers? Have a great March Arrives!

I think "A" is the easy answer here. Even though there is a lot of prep work involved with getting Thanksgiving food together, I do really feel like it pales in comparisons to just EVERYTHING that is involved with Christmas prep. The buying gifts, the wrapping, the food preparation, the decorating of the houses, all of the family visits, etc., etc.,

Have a great March 1st!

I will say B with an *. Definitely way more prep at Thanksgiving with more than just the immediate family like Christmas. But it is only at our house every other year.

And just to be honest, my wife does way more prepping/cooking/cleaning than I do. I assist were needed, but she is in charge and that is probably for the better. Lol. I know she does enjoys and relaxes more the years when Thanksgiving is not at our house.

I'm an A also. There is a lot more to do for Christmas than Thanksgiving. All I do for Thanksgiving is cook and cut the turkey. Michelle does the rest. Oh, and I watch the parade. LOL.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 266
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 244
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 183

Happy March Madness! Today folks we have 266 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 244 days left until November and 183 to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be 2 weeks and 2 days from now when we reach the 250-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. Uhh well we move along in our Winter Wonderland as we try to melt this snow that fell earlier in the week. Today’s temps should do a good job of that. And we look ahead to our favorite part of the week here which is our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

As I approach my first ever Mini-Thanksgiving on Saturday I have to say I’m very excited for it. Part of me wonders why we never did one before. I’m genuinely curious as to how it will go. And will it feel anything like Thanksgiving? I kind of want it to but not too much. Does that make any sense?

I’ll definitely give you all the information and details on Saturday as to how that all goes. But I’m definitely interested to see if it will be as great as I hope that it will be. Now for all you turkey fans hanging out on Thursday it’s not turkey day thankfully. We are halfway to The Bers but fortunately not halfway to Thanksgiving any time soon. I may starve myself the next 2 days in preparation for the Mini-Thanksgiving dinner. Have a great March Madness!

I know exactly what you mean. My goal when I celebrate our Special Days like Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, and Jack O Lantern Day - I want it to feel like those holidays that we are honoring, but at the same time not feel exactly like the real thing.

And I think because of either logistics, or time, or other factors that I am not aware of, they always end up being 95% like the "real thing", but there is just something missing keeping them from completely replicating the holiday. And not to be psychological or anything like that, my thoughts as a "layman" as to why I can't completely recreate the holidays is because the part of my brain that is acknowledging somewhere that it isn't "actually" Christmas, or Halloween, etc..

But that's ok! The goal has never been to replace the real holidays, it's just been to have an experience / sprinkling, etc., hopefully good enough to get the feels and have you still looking forward to the actual holidays. That's a good thing! And I think we have all done fine on that front.

Mini Thanksgiving here we come! I can't wait to share my pics! Have a great day!
