Happy March TGIF! Today folks we have 265 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 243 days to go until November and 182 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 250-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving which is in 15 days (or should I say 2 weeks from tomorrow). We move ahead here in the latter stages now (hard to believe) of our Winter Wonderland trying to enjoy it. I’m enjoying it. Even now when it’s “chilly” in March you feel the difference. It feels more like it does in November. Not in January. Thankfully. Nothing is worse to me than when it’s brutally cold or you get a huge snowstorm in early January and you’ve got most of the winter in front of you not knowing when you’ll ever feel warm again. But anyway enough about the weather. It’s Friday folks so we begin our 3-day relaxation period in this thread. I think all of us enjoy this time very much and enjoy doing all of this. Now for all of you turkey fans you keep the spirit up will ya? I hope you’ve enjoyed all of our daily topics this week and are ready to enjoy your Friday & weekend ahead. And yes, tomorrow is Turkey Day for me. I know. Turkey Day in March. I’m really excited and more curious to how it will feel since I’ve never had one before. Hoping it goes well and is fun/awesome. Sadly I will not be taking part in the mini Thanksgiving this time around. I'm saving the Feels for Halfsgiving coming up in April...but I will officially be grilling this weekend! With the spring-like weather we've had here, I thought it would be the perfect time to clean up the grill and christen it for "grilling season."

Nothing too fancy for this first round. Just chicken, brats, and corn, but I'll amp things up next time.

Looks appropriate as it looks like through the middle of March the weather could stay on the cooler than average side. It’s ok. Better it be cooler than average in March than be that way in January! And folks I can’t forget to mention tonight is my first ever Mini-Thanksgiving. I really wonder what it’s going to be like but now I won’t have to wonder anymore. If it goes well we plan to have a 2nd one in July. We’ll see though. Have to see if everyone is on board with it. But definitely it’s going to be fun trying it tonight. Like I said I’m hoping it feels enough like Thanksgiving without feeling too much like it if that makes sense. Don’t you ever wish you could rewind and replay Thanksgiving over? I guess if you video the day you kind of can but that feeling I mean more than anything. It’s just fantastic. For all you turkey fans you enjoy your Saturday whether you are having turkey or a BBQ. And I hope to talk to you all here as we continue through our quiet 3-day weekend that we love to have in this thread. Have a great March Weekend!​
 
The day has arrived! Today is also my Grandma's birthday so she will be with us for "Mini Thanksgiving". And having dinner down at her house will add even more to the "feels".

Here was our famous hash brown casserole, a main staple of Thanksgiving dinners!

and “Unsloppy Joes”, which is an original creation of Holly’s!

This was fun for us and we will probably do another one as we get closer to the actual halfway point!

Happy March Sunday! Today folks we have 263 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 241 days to go until November, and 180 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 250-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving in less than 2 weeks. Then we won’t be closer to 300 days than 200 in any of our counts. We truly will have left the doldrums. We move ahead in our latter stages of our Winter Wonderland wondering will we see any (very) late season snow? March you never know. My grandmother would always say March is crazy. It could be 70 degrees or it could snow but most of the time it’s something in between. I always think of March kind of like November. It’s the 1st not too cold month (and November is the last not too cold month). December through February are the obviously coldest months normally. Now turkey fans yes I had my Mini-Thanksgiving and I gave a few thoughts on it last night if you want to scroll back and read them. Pictures? I’ll post a few on Tuesday for our weekly Picture Day. But definitely we plan on doing it again in the summer in July. We might do it in fact when I have my summer break (week off). We might do it on a week night. We’ll see though. I hope all of you turkey fans are doing well here on this Sunday as we continue to see signs of spring coming sooner rather than later. Have a great March Weekend!​

Happy March Sunday! Today folks we have 262 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 240 days left until November and 179 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 12 days when we reach the 250-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. That will be major monumental moment. We continue in our Winter Wonderland time of year folks with an amazing Monday. We have our Weekly Countdown Till Thanksgiving as always and this week it is at 37 weeks. Wow. Pretty amazing. My Mini-Thanksgiving dinner was great. It kind of mixed what I wanted. It felt like it was Thanksgiving (we even wished each other a Happy Thanksgiving joking around). But it didn’t feel like it was Thanksgiving (it took less time to eat obviously and a lot less food on the table). Also, a few other people we have over for Thanksgiving weren’t here. But it was good and enjoyable. We plan to do a 2nd Mini-Thanksgiving in July. I hope it will happen and I’m sure it will as everyone had fun with this one. It kind of put us in the spirit for it and then we all said we’re glad it’s not Thanksgiving now as we are barely trying to get out of winter here and want spring, summer and fall to enjoy before that comes. So turkey fans you keep your faith up on this Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. And I hope you hang out with us all week long here in this thread gobbling with us. Have a great March Sunday!​
 
Keep our eyes on that 250 Day marker! That one is always a big one when counting down to any Holiday!

I felt like it was Groundhog Day reading Edge's post this morning. Yesterday was Happy March Sunday, and today's post was ... Happy March Sunday! Except it's Monday! And what a Monday it is.

My official "grilling season" warm-up went pretty well. The chicken turned out amazing. I got a little too much char on the sausages, but they were still good. I'm now ready for Halfsgiving, which I forgot was in May instead of April, but that's okay. That gives me plenty of time to prepare.
