DAYS TILL THE BERS: 47
Happy Middle Day Of July! Today folks we have 130 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 108 days to go until November, and 47 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 1 week + 1 day which will be the 100-Day Marker till November. It will be a major marker indeed. And it will be a major milestone for all of us. But right now folks I’m trying to enjoy my weekend and my quiet 3-day weekend in this thread. And this is the final day of it but I love Sundays as I know all of you do. Looks like a repeat of last Sunday which is miserable weather. Thunderstorms, heavy rain, what a summer so far. Humid non-stop and rain. Well that’s how it goes. But I have the whole week off coming up so I’m really looking forward to just slowing things down here. And definitely I feel this summer and especially this July has really slowed down at least for me. I think someone made an interesting point (maybe it was Rich) that although we want The Bers to go slow you don’t want them to crawl. Normally when time goes “so slow” you’re so bored. And we don’t want to be to that extent. But I’m ok with this summer doing its thing just like I was about the winter. But so far I have to say winter was nicer than summer has been (for that time of year). I’m still glad though I’m not waking up to 4 degrees like I did a few times during the winter. Those are the kind of days you just want to stay inside and never leave the house. We have summer days like that here in the South.
I got some serious holiday vibes yesterday at my great-nieces birthday party, except for a wedding in August, it was the last time I will see many of the people until November!

It will be the 100-Day Marker till November. It’s Monday folks in our Summer Sweatfest and the new week begins with our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at 18 weeks. Next week folks will be a big Monday not only for our milestone but because the weekly countdown will be 2/3 of the way. And the final 3rd will begin. Hard to think about it that way but it actually is happening. But let’s not look ahead to next week especially since I’m on vacation this week. Let’s look at all the fun times we have this week. And in this thread we started it off with that exciting weekly countdown. We’ll move on to our other daily stuff the next 3 days as we always do Monday – Thursday in this thread. You know them by now and hopefully love them. Turkey fans I hope you had a great weekend and stayed dry even if it rained. My wife and I just started planning for Thanksgiving yesterday. It's early, but we were discussing how things will work this year with my mom and her going through her dementia symptoms. Even though she can still cook at this point, we decided that the best thing would be for her to rest and let us begin taking the reins this year. Will she want to do that? Probably not, but I don't know about her cooking an entire Thanksgiving meal at this point. I don't think it's wise. We shall see how this develops as we get closer to the big month.

Happy Hot & Humid! Today folks we have 128 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 106 days to go until November, and 45 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 6 days (which is less than 1 week). You can see pretty clearly it will be the 100-Day Marker till November. Until then we move along very slowly it feels like to me in our Summer Sweatfest. I was thinking about it on Monday how this time of year really does mirror the dead of winter. That time period from like January 5 through about February 20th seems to take about 3 months of time. Very similar I’d say July 5 through August 20th feels very much the same to me. I really think these are the only 2 periods of the year where it actually seems like time slows down almost to a crawl. It must be our imagination though because as we know time waits for nobody. But if you are a fan of turkey and stuffing you know you can’t wait for that either. Turkey, stuffing, gravy and more. That’s what a menu looks like. It’s Tuesday folks so let’s talk about Picture Day. I love that. It’s actually becoming one of my favorite weekly themes. Usually Rich leads the way on this one. And I hope he will again today. Keep it real turkey fans and enjoy the 2nd day of your work week. Stay cool my friends because this turning into one heck of a wicked humid summer here. Have a great Hot & Humid!
