Good point...looking "back" on Halloween and holding onto leftovers is like in late Dec/early Jan trying to hold on to Christmas. It's not as exciting as looking forward to it.It's D for me also. But B and C get me the most excited.

They hit it on the head!
Appsgiving is so much fun. I have done that with my bil for the last 15 years. I actually don't host but always bring a few appetizers when i go over.I am going with B- Thanksgiving Day and I am especially excited that 3 weeks from it will be Thanksgiving Eve and I hope to be hosting my first Appsgiving (just having some family over for appetizers and socialization).
I actually kind of hold on to Thanksgiving a little. I always take a long weekend. I usually have a second Thanksgiving meal on Friday or Saturday too. I always call that weekend my Thanksgiving vacation. Although it mostly becomes about Christmas, there is still a little of Thanksgiving scattered throughout those Christmas vibes.DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 21
Happy Nifty November! Today folks we move along and see our countdown (singular tense) at 21 days remaining until Thanksgiving. We’re next folks. And our next milestone will be the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. We move along in our Awesome Autumn feeling good and enjoying where we are with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!
When a holiday ends there’s always some leftover feeling to it. Like when 4th of July ends I really hold on to it a little. Same for Halloween right now. And Christmas? That’s the king of holding on to something when it ends into the depths of winter. But Thanksgiving? It’s the one holiday that really when it ends everyone moves on so fast (maybe not even by choice). I’m one of the few weirdos who feels a tiny bit sad on Black Friday only because I love Thanksgiving so much.
Turkey friends thanks for being here today. And everyday. I love to see the new 2024 Halloween Countdown up and running. It’s awesome. And we are here still in our current countdown in Thanksgiving. Any ideas for OUR new thread here message me any time. Always welcome. Have a great Nifty November!
Awesome!I got all except one outside Thanksgiving decoration up last night. The inflatable turkey is all that's left.
I think this time of year might be the weirdest time of year (first half of November) because if you're a Halloween crazy you're holding on to it while getting excited about Thanksgiving and yet the Christmas Season is right upon us all at the same time!I actually kind of hold on to Thanksgiving a little. I always take a long weekend. I usually have a second Thanksgiving meal on Friday or Saturday too. I always call that weekend my Thanksgiving vacation. Although it mostly becomes about Christmas, there is still a little of Thanksgiving scattered throughout those Christmas vibes.
This week as been kind of weird for me. I am still hanging on to some Halloween vibes but I am feeling those Christmas and Thanksgiving vibes full on. It is a smorgasbord of feelings. Lol. Those Halloween vibes are holding on for dear life. They should be gone by the weekend.
I think I'll be ok for another week and then start freaking out.
Getting prepared!Alright, turkey fans. This is OUR time. I've already secured my Popeye's cajun turkey and made two test batches of mac and cheese (with a 3rd batch coming next week), and I've got Miracle on 34th Street on Blu-ray now, ready to go for the big day. My wife has also started with the testing and is making a test apple pie next week.
20 days? Let's goooooooooooo!
