Happy Tom Turkey Day, friends! It will be easy to soak up some Tom Turkey feels today since Football will be on TV tonight. It's impossible to not think about Fall & Thanksgiving when you see the old pigskin on TV! Re-runs or New games, I learned that it doesn't matter! Have a great day!
This is how I'll be celebrating Tom Turkey tonight. Even Preseason games give me the Feels. It would be nice to have some kind of turkey item for dinner, but we're having some leftover chicken spaghetti instead. I'll just have to pretend that the chicken is turkey.

I am the same way when it comes to holidays and the weather...def love a cooler Thanksgiving and colder Christmas!

Happy Latter August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 97 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 70 days to go until November, and 9 days left until The Bers. We move along in the late stages of our Summer Sweatfest where things have been less sweaty lately with our next milestone being the ultimate Arrival of The Bers. You know folks that means we’ll only have 2 counts left when we reach that. Below please check our Fun Fact Friday out my friends!
In 1939, President Franklin D. Roosevelt moved Thanksgiving one week earlier. By 1941, FDR gave in and signed a bill making the fourth Thursday in November the official date for Thanksgiving nationwide, regardless of whether it's the last Thursday of the month or not.
So normally you wouldn’t get Thanksgiving as early as we get it sometimes. I think I like it better the way it is don’t you? And I like the mixture of it being later in the month but earlier sometimes too. I think there are pros and cons to both which I debate myself which is better. Which is better? It depends what day you ask me. I keep changing my view on it. Turkey friends TGIF. Have a great Latter August!

I honestly like it "Earlier" in the month because i feel like if It is too late, it makes December/Christmas Season feel shorter. I think one year Thanksgiving was on the 28th, that REALLY made December feel short that year.

I think the only negative is it might seem a little early if you have a whole week after it's over of November...but it depends how you look at it!
That's just more Christmas in November. I'll take it!

You must know it is going to be such a big day when The Bers arrive my friends. We move along in our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2 now and I hope you all had a great week but trust your weekend will be even greater than that. And I hope you are enjoying your time with family and friends this weekend. Even if you aren’t doing anything too special, I hope you have fun. And I hope you enjoy coming here to check on the counts here all weekend long. We don’t have any special topics but that is ok as we have done enough of that all week long. We need a break in this thread just like everyone needs a break from the long week. And then we’ll move into such a huge turning point week coming up next week. Happy Saturday! Just kind of going to take it easy today. All of my mowing is done, and I think I might just tinker outside and start up the 4 wheelers, etc., maybe do some more cleaning out in the pole barn because now we've begun hauling wood pellets for winter. And tomorrow is my half marathon! Have a great day, friends!
