I like the idea. How were the pretzel bites?

They were better once I found the salt packet that goes with them!

Next month I am going to give Mac and Cheese Balls a whirl! I may have a contest between the frozen and the recipe @The_Escalation shared!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 184
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 157
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 96

Happy Final Week Of May! Today folks we have 184 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 157 days to go until November, and 96 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Saturday when we welcome in the Arrival of June. It will be a big arrival for sure. But we move along still here in the very (very) early stages of our Summer Sweatfest feeling good coming off a very fun, unique and special holiday weekend here. Thankful for the times I had the last 4 days. The fun stuff, errands and also the quiet times too. Those I treasure on a daily basis more than any other time. Turkey friends it’s Tuesday so it’s time to post those pictures. Are you ready for it? It’s Picture Day here in the Thanksgiving Thread as we have every single Tuesday. I love it. You love it. We all love it. Turkey friends I hope you had a good long weekend. And I hope you’re getting back into the swing of things today. But I wish for you nothing but fun and good times this week on your daily adventures. That’s the best thing to do. Now turkey friends we are in the summer. We are in the sweatfest. It’s very early. We have those 3 big months in front of us which most consider summer. But they’re coming soon starting this weekend. For now we get the most out of May that we can. Have a great Final Week Of May!

The whole rest of this week is only going to get into the mid 70's, with some of our weekend overnight lows down in the 40's! That's one last blast of "Bers" weather before we truly begin the sweatfest. There will be some odd cooler days sprinkled here and there from June through August, so I always take advantage of those when they come.

I'm looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving & a Half this week. I'll watch Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades from the 80s while I'm cooking up a mini Thanksgiving Day feast. Then I'll finish the day with the 1947 version of Miracle on 34th Street.
Sounds like a perfect day!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 183
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 156
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 95

Happy Wacky Wednesday! Today folks we move along and see we have 183 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 156 days to go until November, and 95 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Saturday when June Arrives. We are in the early part of our Summer Sweatfest with a Weekly Wednesday Poll below!

If you could trade the Summer Sweatfest for a 2nd Winter, would you or not?

  • Heck yeah, I’ll take double the winter without any summer.
  • No, although I do not love the sweatfest I wouldn’t want a second winter to take its place.
  • No way, I love summer, so I’d like the opposite if anything (2 summers and 0 winters).
  • I hate both summer and winter so I would lose either way.
  • I’m going with C. You know I love summer so I think I’d take 2 if I could. I say that now but if I lived in Florida maybe I’d choose B instead. I can do without winter though or at least I feel that way now. Turkey friends what about you? Vote away. And have fun here. Have a great Wacky Wednesday!

I think I have to answer "B" on this one. Winter brings its own set of concerns, and even though it would be nice to not have to suffer through the sweatfest, I am imagining how weird it would be to go from being cold, to having a nice spring, to going back to cold weather, then transitioning over into autumn weather. I think part of the SweatFest is very cathartic in nature - just by trudging through the brutal days and nights, Autumn "feels" better and more special when it arrives.

Have a great day!
