That rings a bell, I think I remember my dad using the term, I will have to read up on it. Definitely a different type of White Christmas. It is just as foggy this morning.

Good tradition!
Mid-40s today here. Definitely beats last Christmas Eve which was bitterly cold.
We are at 23 F and headed to colder, but other than the 12 and half flakes we got yesterday morning, no more snow so a green Christmas. As long as it is happy, that is all that matters.

Unfortunately I got the stomach bug last night. Felt a little better when I woke up but stomach is getting upset again. Kids tore through presents today and enjoyed themselves. Hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Merry Christmas! Today folks we have 339 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 312 days to go until November, and 251 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be tomorrow friends. Every Christmas fan may not want to think about the day after Christmas but us in turkey land will enjoy a major milestone as we reach the 250-Day marker till The Bers. My friends thank you for being here today on Christmas Day. If you made a moment to come check out the count today then that’s great. But get back to your family and friends. Open some presents. Make some memories. Laugh. Have fun. And enjoy this very precious and special day. It really is amazing how similar Thanksgiving is to Christmas yet so different. Thanksgiving has this excitement of the beginning and Christmas has the excitement of reaching the peak. Turkey friends it’s still our Happy Holidays today and Monday which means we do our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. We have 48 week until Thanksgiving Week my friends. Indeed we move another week lower here in the 40s. No sweat though. Turkey friends enjoy this very special day with your family and friends. So similar yet so different from Christmas. Yep..my bones ache today. Stomach isnt so bad as last night.
Merry Christmas to all! It's okay to think about "tomorrow". It's honestly the day that we "really" start counting back to everything again. These last couple of months we've been in the Halloween afterglow, and then the Thanksgiving afterglow. Time was moving but we weren't really going after it hard. Nobody wanted to wish this time away. But starting tomorrow? Yeah it's okay. We will get through "the slog" together like we always do.
Here's to a healthier 2024 Holiday Season for us!
January & July are the 2 slog months where time goes slower for some reason I think.

It’s Milestone Day folks as we have reached the 250-Day Marker till The Bers. Now you might say but Edge we’re still in The Bers. Technically, you are correct. But the heart of The Bers is really September 1 through Thanksgiving Eve. Once Thanksgiving arrives to me it’s the holiday season and a different section of The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays time period in this thread feeling great even on the day after Christmas. And our next milestone will be on Thursday friends so 2 days from now we’ll reach Tom Turkey Day #1 (Rich’s specialty). But friends right now it’s Tuesday and you all know what that means. It means it’s Picture Day my friends. So please post all your pictures that you want to that have anything to do with autumn or Thanksgiving (or both). This was the highlight last year in this thread. People caught on to it and it took off. I’ll be back later today as always to post some pictures myself. And thank you in advance for any pictures you have to contribute to this thread. Take it easy today. Chin up. Some people consider December 26th to be a tough day. It’s not. Happy 250 Days to The Bers! Almost feels like a milestone day. We're not officially "really" on the way back yet (That's next week), it feels good to see that number. 250 days is a long way but not a "huge" number like 300 or even 365!
And we have a Tom Turkey Day on Thursday so a dose of feels when we need them the most are coming our way. Have a great day!

Good morning! I needed the reminder that today is Tuesday and I am grateful for the counts and the routines. I already have some nice serving dishes from my grandmother's china set but every now and then I do like to look at other patterns that are more seasonal.
