Not exaggerating in the least, I feel like I sit down for Thanksgiving and am at the table at least 45 minutes to an hour. There's too much to eat, especially if you are trying everything different.

I really look forward to the months ahead, especially as Halfsgiving / Friendsgiving starts coming together. That's the nice thing about crawling through the winter, there is always something that we can focus on to look forward to.

Have a great Friday. The 3 day weekend is here!!
Yeah I'm closer to an hour too!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 320
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 293
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 232

Happy January Teens! Today folks we have 320 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 293 days to go until November, an 232 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be not for a while. It will be when we reach Tom Turkey Day #2 in a dozen days from now. Who cares about a dozen days from now? We are barely a dozen days into the year. And we move along in our Winter Wonderland (and next week looks wintry for sure) with positive thoughts on our quiet weekend period in this thread. Did everyone enjoy their 5 day topics this week? I really hope you all did. And I tried to help provide some fun stuff this week. Definitely feel like we have the perfect mixture in this year’s thread. It’s been a battle trying to get it this way but I think we found the fit. Now the weekend is for relaxing right? That’s why we relax in this thread. No need for topics. But we need to take it a little slower now. And then we’ll worry about everything else again next week. And just focus on the here and now right now with this winter weekend here. Make some plans. Have some fun. Take a nap. And just enjoy it after a long winter week. Turkey friends keep it real. Enjoy your Saturday and weekend of course. The best. Have a great January Teens!

I enjoyed the 5 days of topics this week, it gives each day a bit of a different feel that calls me back to Thanksgiving Week, which I appreciate very much. With the bad weather I haven't settled into a normal weekly cadence yet so I may be catching up some days. In some threads it doesn't seem like people go back to answer posts they've missed so I am not sure what the etiquette actually is on that?

I don't know the etiquette either, but you're among friends so reply away! I would highly doubt anyone would "correct" you. Posts are there to reply to and I'm sure the original poster would probably appreciate it.

Pretty sure whether you choose to reply or not, there is no thread jail. Pretty sure if there was, I would have been in there oh, say three dozen times!+n

I think you can reply to anything...even the first post in this thread. Nobody will be mad about it!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 319
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 292
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 231

Happy January Sunday! Today folks we have 319 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 292 days to go until November, and 231 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 11 days when we reach Tom Turkey Day #2! But right now we move along in our Winter Wonderland with a wintry week ahead expected for us. But it is winter so why would we not expect that? And turkey friends we are in our 2nd half of our quiet weekend period. I’m thankful for this. I know all of you are as well. Turkey friends you’re all the best and so you all know how much we all love Thanksgiving. But we also love January. Yep, even January I’m enjoying this year. Sick ain’t it? Lol. But I’m still enjoying this month. And we aren’t even halfway through it. We’ll see how I feel in a week if it is going to be a cold week as they’re predicting. I think my body just can’t handle the cold like I used to in my younger years. But one thing I can handle is a big plate of turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and lots more. All the good stuff is what I’m looking for. But right now I’m enjoying nice meals in the winter time. We still have a turkey in the freezer. I’m thinking it will be used in February. And make it into a Mini Thanksgiving. Have a great January Sunday!

Edge I noticed the older I get, the more I don't tolerate the brutal cold like I used to. I can still dress warmly for tasks that have to be done outside, but I am a lot less enthused about cold weather than I used to be, especially after Christmas is over and it's just kind of barren here. I totally get it.

I'm enjoying seeing these posts and sort of early discussions about Mini Thanksgiving, if I remember correctly we did do it in February last year, I felt like, and then had our actual "halfway to Thanksgiving" / Friendsgiving at/around the half way point.

Have a great day!

I am enjoying January too and I agree the cold is more draining as we age. Even getting bundled up to go out is harder! LOL!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 318
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 291
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 230

Happy MLK Day! Today folks we have 318 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 291 days to go until November, and 230 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone does not take place this week folks. It’s a Non-Milestone Week. But our next milestone will take place in 10 days. It will be Tom Turkey Day #2! But today is Monday folks and we start a brand new week of our 5-day topics. And we do that here in the early part of our Winter Wonderland with the chances of snow and cold this week. Our Monday topic? It’s the Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. The amount of weeks? Well it would be 45 week. Indeed. Halfway from 50 to 40 folks. There’s no stress about it though. Being in the 40s is way, way, way safe. Just like being in January. It’s safe in terms of the year and seasons not getting away from us too quickly. So let’s stay in January all of this week. What do you say? I’ll be shivering half the time but fortunately I’ll spend more time indoors than outdoors this week including next weekend. Purposely planning a quieter weekend next weekend. But right now if you’re off today for the holiday enjoy it. And if you’re a turkey fan like I am then gobble your way through your Monday and be happy with where we are in January. Someday we’ll look back and be like wow weren’t we just in January? Turkey friends gobble your way into your Monday. Have a great MLK Day!
