It’s Monday so let’s do our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 19 weeks. Into the teens we go and we can’t look back now only at the present day and week we are in.
Wowsers! 19 weeks. Love it!

Happy Monday! Today and tomorrow in all likelihood will be the hottest days of Summer 2024. It is predicted to hit 100 degrees tomorrow, which if it does, will be our first and hopefully only day this summer that hits 100 degrees. We historically start easing back into Fall temps usually the 3rd/4th week of July, August ends up being a very fine but still warm month, but by September we see the payoffs with the cool / borderline cold nights again. It's a process and one that we can't rush. But there's always a huge difference here between August temps and September temps. And right now any kind of relief, even if it's just a few degrees, will make a huge difference. Have a great day!
A/c is the relief I'm feeling now!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 135
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 108
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 47

Happy Middle Day Of July! Today folks we move along and see that we have 135 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 108 days left until November, and 47 days to go until The Bers. We move along in the heart of our Summer Sweatfest feeling sweaty for sure with lots of people experiencing some of the hottest weather this summer so far (and maybe in many years in some cases). Well our next milestone will cool you off a bit when we talk about the 100-Day Marker till November which is 1 week from tomorrow. And that definitely sounds like cooler weather. It’s Tuesday so it’s time for Picture Day so please post all your pictures of much cooler times when we see autumn and turkey season. Lots of nice sights of leaves, breezes, turkeys and cooler weather in the pictures today to make us smile at what is to come. I said it before but a hotter summer will only make you enjoy autumn even more when it does arrive. But right now we’re in the thick of it so it’s step by step and enjoy each one of them even the hot sweaty ones. Of course, a good working a/c might help you enjoy it more too. And maybe jump into a pool if you can or run through a sprinkler. Or maybe a good old fashioned water balloon fight. Have a great Middle Day Of July!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 134
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 107
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 46

Happy 2nd Half Of July! Today folks we move along and have 134 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 107 days left until November, and 46 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone being the 100-Day Marker till November. That will be 1 week from today. But right now in the present moment where we all should be living we have our Weekly Wednesday Poll below about the summer season!

Where would you rank this summer season (thus far)?

A.) It’s been about average.
B.) It’s been cooler than average this year so far.
C.) It’s been hotter than average.
D.) It’s been so hot my location has felt like an oven.

A lot of people might be tempted to say D but being a fan of weather I know realistically for my area the answer is C. It’s definitely been a hot summer (so far) but I wouldn’t put it as like a record breaking summer (at least not yet). Turkey friends stay cool today and enjoy your middle of the week. Have a great 2nd Half Of July!

Oh, how I have missed poll day! And this thread as a whole...

Today is an easy choice, though. It's A for me. I can relate with @Rich on this one. It's always so hot in the south that there's no different "levels" of heat -- every year is just HOT.
We whine in the northeast at hot weather...but then in winter we whine about how cold it is!
