Thanksgiving 2024 Thread

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 25

Happy November Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 25 days remaining until Thanksgiving. That is huge friends. Our next milestone will be when we reach the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving which will not be for another 2+ weeks. For now my friends bask in the glow of November. It’s the month of Thanksgiving. It’s truly a great month. We move along in our Awesome Autumn and the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period with just that. A quiet day. It’s been actually a quiet weekend here after all the Halloween Season fun. But now settling down a bit at least somewhat for a couple of weekends this month most likely before the craziness begins. Actually if you think about it Thanksgiving really brings the craziness. But that day itself is one of the calmest most pure days of the year ironically. Maybe that’s why I love it so much. Turkey friends I hope your weekend is going well. I’m feeling good. And don’t forget last year what happened to me on Thanksgiving Day. I don’t want to bring it up and jinx it but ironically I haven’t been sick since that day (not like actual sick). Turkey friends the best to you on this Sunday. I hope the 2nd half of your weekend goes well. And I hope you are doing well. Thanks. Have a great November Sunday!​

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 24

Happy November Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 24 days remaining until Thanksgiving. And we move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next (and final) milestone arriving in 2 weeks’ time. Yes, it will be the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. Unreal huh? But we are in November my friends. And it’s a Monday which means it’s time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at 3 weeks. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe but if you think about the fact we are in November it’s not as hard to. Turkey friends we begin a brand new week here on this Monday with our usual stuff going on this week. And I’m not going to talk about next year’s thread because heck we waited all year to be in November. But any time during this month if you want to make any suggestions of changes (or you love the way the thread is and there’s no changes you want to see) shoot me a message or post your thoughts here on this thread. I honestly feel like we got it close to perfect with our 5-day topics but if you want to see something changed (or you have an idea for an addition) then feel free to let me know. Happy Monday! Just my two cents here - I think this thread is ran perfect. I know how hard it is to keep a countdown going for 365 days a year but you do it perfect across your threads. I like the way things are.

What a great start to our first full November week. Right now this thread is perfect. I think we'll all know when or if things need to change at some point. But for right now, keep doing what you're doing. You are greatly appreciated.

I agree with all of these sentiments. I love the current format of the thread and think it’s perfect the way it is. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, because Thanksgiving is still 3 weeks away, but I absolutely can’t wait to count down next year as well.

Well it's taken several years to carve out...and I agree. I'm not thinking about the next thread right now at all!
 
DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 23

Happy Election Day! Today folks we move along and see that we have 23 days remaining until Thanksgiving. That’s all we have left friends and the only milestone that we have left will arrive in less than 2 weeks when we reach the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. Talk about excitement. It will build here for sure. But for now, we move along in our Awesome Autumn which has been beyond awesome to say the least with our Picture Day today on this Tuesday. So please post all those pictures that you have of Autumn and Thanksgiving. We’re right in the thick of it now friends so it’s imperative to get the most out of each day that you can this autumn season. Turkey friends I hope your week got off to a good start on Monday and that your week continues do progress nicely today on Tuesday. Did we ever have a vote here in this thread as to who Tom Turkey would be? I think Rich won that vote since he invented the day. If I get runner up to him, I’d be happy. I think a bunch of you who show up in this thread all year long deserve some votes too. Turkey friends it’s a big day because it’s a November Day (and Election Day) so enjoy your day and do what you got to do. We’re enjoying another nice autumn (mild and dry) day here.
