You know I honestly can't think of a single thing that we put out at Thanksgiving dinner that I don't enjoy. I honestly can't even remember anything ever being made that we didn't all like. We must be really fortunate.

Speaking of things I like, I went to Martins last night and right when you go through the front doors, there is a HUGE pallet of canned green beans, and on top of the stack of cans are stacks of fried onions. Hit me right in the feels, because I LOVE Green Bean Casserole! It's gonna be here soon, friends!

I call phoney on this one. 68% ? Really? I don't think so.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 20

Happy November TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 20 days remaining until Thanksgiving. That’s big. We are at a round number with our next milestone being in 10 days when we reach the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. We move along in our Awesome Autumn feeling good and enjoying our week here. And we enjoy our Fun Fact Friday below!

Most Americans secretly dislike classic Thanksgiving dishes but eat them anyway.

A whopping 68 percent of Americans dislike Thanksgiving dishes like canned cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and even turkey itself, according to a 2019 Instacart survey of more than 2,000 U.S. adults conducted online by the Harris Poll—but they'll still eat them in honor of tradition. Times are changing, however: Thirty percent of Thanksgiving dinner hosts have served something other than turkey as their main course (pork is the second most popular option).

They didn’t poll us did they? I mean I’m not a fan of mashed potatoes and not big into stuffing but the rest I love. What do you think of today’s fact? Is it phony or legit? And do you have a dish you dislike at Thanksgiving but still have it anyway? Have a great November TGIF!
I don't want to weigh in, I am still questioning if anyone in my family really likes my mac and cheese.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 19

Happy Nice November! Today folks we move along and see that we have 19 days remaining until Thanksgiving. That’s it. 9 days from now we will enter the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. That’s right friends today start off our quiet weekend. I hope it’s quiet for all of you and enjoyable as well. Turkey friends I hope you enjoy your first half of the weekend. It’s a great time of year. It really is like the calm before the storm. Guess when the storm REALLY hits. On Thanksgiving. That’s when it hits. I remember the weekend before Thanksgiving sitting at the mall several years ago and thinking about what was about to happen. And it blew my mind away. Well, we are getting closer and closer to that time friends, so my suggestion is to take in the calm and let the build/excitement only increase as we move along day by day (and even hour by hour). Turkey friends I hope your week went well and I’m glad you are here to say Hi in this thread. I hope your week has been great, but the weekend will only be better for you. The weather here has been beautiful so it’s hard to complain. Turkey friends the best to you gobbling away. Have a great Nice November!

Happy Saturday! First day of the 3 day weekend! Turkey time is coming soon, and two more Saturdays will be "The weekend before". It's really coming fast now!

I hope everyone has a great day!

We never had mac & cheese up North, but I make a mean lobster mac & cheese for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This year feels like one long November Thanksgiving dinner after another. I'm so glad I restocked my freezers. My niece and her husband have been here all month doing some things on their Daytona property and some things on their Madeira Beach property. I've been doing lots of meals and desserts. Of course, Thanksgiving will be over the top with them here and my other guests. My niece, who is an excellent cook, promised to come over the day before and help me make the sides.

On Monday, we're doing seafood fest here. I have lobster, king crab meat, and shrimp. I'll make a huge salad and a nice dessert. I'm leaning toward the three-layer lemon blueberry cake since it was a huge hit at my BERS-day party. I may also make some strawberry bars since they seem to be a hit and they're easy. I also thought about a potato salad. I haven't made one in years but they're so easy and seem to go good with seafood.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 18

Happy Double Digits November! Today folks we move along and see that we have 18 days remaining until Thanksgiving. Our next milestone will arrive in just over a week when we reach the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. It will be our FINAL milestone in this countdown. We move along in our Awesome Autumn in the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And it feels good doesn’t it? Turkey friends I hope your weekend is going well. And I hope you are enjoying this weather. It cooled off here but just closer to normal for this time of year. No extreme cold or anything yet. I’m still waiting for that to hit and eventually it will but I am in no rush for it. Turkey friends I really hope you realize we are in OUR month and if you read today’s post in the Hang Out I think most of you will like how I acknowledge the month of November as possibly the greatest month of the year. Let’s hopefully realize where we are with the leftover Halloween candy in the store, the Thanksgiving build increasing and the Christmas Season signs just around the corner. It’s a great time of year friends. The first half of November might be the SWEET SPOT of the year. Dare I say that? September may be the Sweet Spot as a month but this time of year is such a sweet spot. The anticipation is building. Have a great Double Digits November!

The anticipation is building.
It really is. Yesterday I did a deep clean of the fridge and freezer, pitched the stuff that needed to go, reorganized other stuff to the deep freeze in the basement so it is all ready for the extra stuff that will be coming in. I don't have to worry about thawing a turkey this year so I didn't have to remove any shelves, I know it is a small task but it is a huge boost.

A clean fridge the freezer always makes me feel like the house is clean.
