I get alot of vehicles like this in the shop. They only drive like a mile or 2 at a time and the battery never has a chance to fully recharge. It slowly kills the battery over time.
Eck! Do you think getting a new battery will solve this, or is it something wrong with the vehicle?

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a wonderful day. Thanks to Edge and all of you who make the year long journey such a joyful experience.

Gobble Gobble!

Well folks, our Thanksgiving 2024 is in the books here. Holly and Abigale are sleeping from being sick, and I am out here in the living room watching "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

It was a unique Thanksgiving, with everyone except for myself sick. But we still managed to have as good of a time as we could. I'm grateful for family this year, and especially with my brother in law being able to get out of the hospital in time for Thanksgiving. That was a holiday miracle.

I'm ready to start down the journey again tomorrow! Thanks @Edge612 for another great year of counting down!

FINAL THOUGHTS - THANKSGIVING 2024
I had an awesome Thanksgiving. Several times during the day I did reflect on last year when I got sick around noon and went downhill from there. It made today more special. Appreciating that I felt well. The weather wasn't great (rained most of the day till about mid-afternoon). Chilly and rainy. Sun never came out. But I got to take my dog to the park after the rain. We ate a little earlier than last year which was good. My brother from San Diego being here for the first time in about 6 or 7 years made it more special too. Although, I'd still prefer him to come for Christmas I'm glad he made it a point to get here for 1 of the big 2 holidays. The food came out really good. Plenty of leftovers. My Lions won but they never make it easy. The parade was fun (even in the rain). After Covid several years ago really minimized so many events it's nice to see all these big things come back the last few years. Now we're cleaning up and in an hour so we'll make some coffee with homemade apple pie and cheesecake (just apple pie for me). And play games. I'm thankful I get the day after Thanksgiving off. Ironically, my job already sent my holiday schedule for 2025 and indeed we have off the day after Thanksgiving next year (as we've always had). I always say it's not about what I'm doing tomorrow but more about just being able to stay up later tonight and not have to worry about getting to work early. Thankful for Damian who came into my life this year after Rollins passed on New Year's Eve at too young of an age (7). This is Damian's first Thanksgiving and we took our walk at the park which we get to (just like Rollins and I did) 300+ days a year. Having my family here was great. Everyone helping out makes the big chore of Thanksgiving Dinner Preparation a lot more manageable. Today reminded me how special everything is. Even little traditions like we have doritos around 2PM. We have done that for at least a decade now. We also made waffles around 10:30AM. I used to always make that with bacon (which we made this year). The last couple years we went away from that and made different stuff but everyone agreed we need to stick with waffles/bacon going forward. Thanksgiving Week was fun as always. Thanksgiving Eve at work is magical to me. Inside the excitement I feel is unreal. I'm thankful to have kept my tradition of bringing in breakfast. Anyway, thank you all for another great year. And I'll be starting up the new thread in moments. Feel free to post your final thoughts here and join me tonight (or in the AM) as we begin the new thread and our new counts! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Thank you all for a wonderful year of sharing a piece of our lives and counting down to Thanksgiving.
