My answer is A. We got to have Thanksgiving with our daughter. That had not happened in many years.

Last year it was "B". Everyone was so sick at our Thanksgiving dinner that we decided to not do as many desserts because we worried that the stomachs might not be able to handle it. I still think back to Thanksgiving 2024, which might go down as being the most memorable of all. Normally when every member of your family is sick, it would seem that you would cancel a family function, not us, we decided to do Thanksgiving anyway because all of us were sick. I still don't know if that was brilliant, or stupid. Maybe a mixture of both. But we still talk about that a lot and have a laugh. Have a great day!

In a roundabout way, I guess it’s B for me, as our Thanksgiving dinner was canceled, so everything was off the menu! My wife’s uncle did bring by some catered food, but it definitely wasn’t an entire Thanksgiving spread.

I guess C for me. Everyone made it last year and the menu was not really changed from the last time I had Thanksgiving. We technically flip the host house each year so I guess that would be a change. But everything was the same from the previous time I hosted 2 years before this past year.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 280
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 254
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 193

Happy Fabulous February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 280 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 254 days left until November and 193 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in 4 days. It will be the 250-Day Marker till November. It’s Thursday folks so you know it’s time for Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

It’s hard not to think about Thanksgiving when it’s Thursday for people like us. But on a day like today when you hit a round # of 40 weeks till Thanksgiving you kind of smile. I know the 50s wasn’t much to go through but now having gone through the entire 40s is amazing. And a little boost. But of course, tons and tons of time to think about Thanksgiving Day before it ever remotely comes close which is what we love about this thread and this website!

I hope everyone is doing well this Thursday. And I hope your day goes well from this point on. And gobble your way through your Thursday with thoughts of turkey, stuffing, and gravy in your head. It should be a lot of great moments and thoughts that keep you going. Turkey friends the best to you today. Have a great Fabulous February!

I really miss all of the holidays at this point in the year. The "winter doldrums" might be hitting me a little bit. Last Christmas seems so far away now. Even thinking about the upcoming holiday season things seem "too far" out of reach. Maybe getting to the next season might reorient me. I hope so!

I've been thinking more about Thanksgiving lately. I miss the joy of the holiday season.

Yep, yep, same here. This is the time of year when things get difficult for me. I know March 1st is the Day of Hope, but I have zero feelings about March at all. St. Patrick’s Day is fun, but it’s a very low-key holiday, and Easter falls extremely late on the calendar this year. I’m just biding my time until Spooky Spring.

I am feeling very far away from Thanksgiving too. I need to find something to do for Tom Turkey Days like trying new side dishes or appetizers to make me feel like I am "on my way".

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 279
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 253
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 192

Happy Winter Friday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 279 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 253 days to go until November and 192 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in 3 days. It will be the 250-Day Marker till November. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

If you’re going to attempt to hunt down the Thanksgiving turkey yourself, make sure it doesn’t get angry! Wild turkeys can run up to 20 miles per hour when scared! So, if you scare a turkey into running that fast, make sure it doesn’t get angry too and start chasing you!

Is it just me or can you not picture a turkey chasing after Rich? I don’t know why but that visual is one I can see happening. Well, turkey friends now you know if you want to race a turkey you’re probably going to lose. And lose badly. Turkey friends I wish you all well here on this Friday. It’s only a 3-day work week for me yet it still feels like a long winter week. That’s how winter has felt but not in a bad way. I just hope the rest of our seasons ahead can take their sweet time too. Have a great Winter Friday!

Happy Friday! We're trudging through the last full week of February! Next week will see Tom Turkey Day before we wave goodbye to February and step into the month of hope. Exciting! Have a great day!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 278
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 252
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 191

Happy February Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 278 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 252 days to go until November and 191 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone day arriving the day after tomorrow. Some people call it Monday. It will be the 250-Day Marker till November. It’s going to be big for sure. Turkey friends the best to you on this Saturday as we enter our Quiet Weekend Period. This is Part 1 of 2 as Saturday always is. We had a busy week in this thread and now we take it easy and simply focus on simple fun. I hope your week went well and that your weekend goes even better. The weather should be milder here for the weekend and most of next week at least. I’ll take what we can get. Even normal temperatures would be nice right around now. Turkey friends I wish you well here on your weekend. I hope you have fun but also get everything that you need to get done accomplished. And that you have a good mixture this weekend. Kind of like a mixture on Thanksgiving Day of turkey, stuffing and gravy. That’s all the best stuff. Turkey friends I wish you well and hope you keep that Thanksgiving Spirit up all day long. And all weekend long as well. I am happy to say that the Thanksgiving Thread is thriving thanks to all of you. Have a great February Weekend!
