Happy Final Weekend Of AprIl! Today folks we move along and see that we have 215 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 189 days to go until November, and 128 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone arriving on Thursday. Yes, another Thursday milestone as we reach the Arrival of May. A big month for us in this thread as it will represent the biggest milestones, we’ll have outside of The Bers. Unreal. It’s Saturday folks so time for our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. It’s going to be a fun one. I hope all of you enjoy it. We don’t have the greatest weather this weekend but that’s how it goes sometimes. It’s been so nice this week, so we have to deal with some rain and clouds now. We need the rain too. Turkey friends the best to you on this weekend. I hope your Saturday is off to a great start. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. And I hope you will have a great time with family and friends. Of course, I know those pesky errands and chores are part of the weekend, but they are an accomplishment waiting for you to conquer. Turkey friends enjoy the first half of your weekend. And I hope you have a great time today whether the weather is good or bad (or indifferent). Have a great Final Weekend Of April!

Thanksgiving in Plymouth may not have been so cordial
Colonists and Wampanoag are often regarded as cementing their fruitful relationship with a celebratory feast at the 1621 Thanksgiving, but tensions between them may have been much frostier. Earlier Europeans behaved “more like raiders than traders”, says historian David Silverman, and this informed how Wampanoag chief Ousamequin dealt with the Pilgrims.
Tension for Thanksgiving? I can’t imagine I guess unless you are with family you don’t get along with. That 1 uncle or 1 cousin…every family has that 1. Turkey friends I hope your week is going well. And the best to you on this Friday. It’s almost the weekend time. Woohoo. Get ready for it Gobble Gobblers. Have a great Final Friday Of April!
Yes it can be!Unfortunately "Thanksgiving tension" can be a real thing, especially as it comes to folks being "forced" to spend time with each other at a Holiday. I completely understand. I think @The_Escalation knows what I'm talking about.
I go through a little bit of it every year, unfortunately. Luckily for me, the good outweighs the bad! I can handle one "bad" day of having to get together when compared to the whole entire holiday season!
I try to prepare myself every year for the people who seem to like to take the air out of my ballon/rain on the parade, that is the hardest thing for me.Unfortunately "Thanksgiving tension" can be a real thing, especially as it comes to folks being "forced" to spend time with each other at a Holiday. I hear ya!I try to prepare myself every year for the people who seem to like to take the air out of my ballon/rain on the parade, that is the hardest thing for me.
Big road ahead!Happy Monday folks! Almost at May now. I don't want to wish away what is left of Spooky Spring, but everybody knows why I want May to be here so bad. The last 8 months have felt like I've been crawling through Molasses.
My new immediate short term goal after Halfoween is Memorial Day weekend, which is 26 days from today. Obviously Memorial Day is when THE ROAD opens back up to The Bers, but it's also when MY ROAD literally opens for getting ready to go to the hospital. Lots of thoughts of The Bers and Holiday Season are in my head now. I was just thinking yesterday about how pretty soon I will be watching videos of Autumn and winter stuff, just as part of my "prep" that I do every year when Summer starts encroaching.
Have a great day!
